Such a lovely group of women, beautiful smiles and magical classes lead by !

They are inseparable, incredibly soft and so lazy!!
They have the best life at Casa Shakti today..
but they both come from the street..
and had a very tough time at the beginning of their life..!

We found Luz run over in the middle of the street. she was only 1 month old and the cars were passing above her as if she was nothing.
We were on our way to see a sunset when we saw her and that’s why we called her “Light”.

Smokey comes from a cat colony that a lovely lady takes so much care of, but he had such hard time being accepted by cats that were much less friendly than him..
so we offered him a home (see today’s stories..!!)

When Smokey arrived, Luz fell immediately in love and since then they are always together.

You will certainly see them at Casa Shakti, sleeping on an armchair or having a walk in the garden at sunset time ☀️

The beautiful Mongolian Yurt is the space where the Yoga classes, massages and therapies happen at Casa Shakti during the winter.
It is the intimate cozy space you need to deeply relax ✨

Whatever retreat plan you choose.. Yoga is going to be part of it!

We included Yoga in all plans so that we are sharing a regular group activity. Everyone in the house is welcome!

The classes are also open to the residents of the island!

During the autumn and winter season the classes are dedicated to The Chakras & The Elements.

The journey through the Chakras is transformative because you are systematically exploring all the aspects of the Self.

And knowing the Elements is giving you the key to a better understanding of reality, health and nature.

Wether you are looking to be healthier, more relaxed or to gain more clarity towards your path.. Yoga is going to give you precious tools and resources.

This course is also online.

The first includes your STAY and regular YOGA classes, participating to course about The Chakras & The 5 Elements.

The second is designed to improve HEALTH through individual COACHING sessions & to establish new positive habits while being in a safe and supportive environment.

This is particularly indicated if you suffer of a chronic health issue and you can’t heal since too long..!

The third plan is all about the wonderful CONNECTION with NATURE and ANIMALS.

We are going to do Yoga, be with the 5 beautiful Casa Shakti HORSES and.. also with the alpacas of ✨

Walking (or running!) distance from Casa Shakti… Cala Nova beach is very well known for its cristal clear waters and unspoiled coast.

During the winter, when the waves are higher, it often becomes a popular meeting point of the surfers of the island.

This is also the perfect place to see the sun rising from the sea.
If you like having early morning walks, this can easily become your favorite meditation spot!

As if this wasn’t enough, Cala Nova is also the magical spot where the locals gather every month to see spectacular full moons rising from the water.

This is only a glimpse of how pleasant the autumn-winter season is on the island ✨

What is the dog doing while we do Yoga? 🤪

During the Autumn-Winter season the island shines with its most authentic beauty, free from the crowds and from mass tourism.
The weather is pleasant, often Sunny and with temperatures up to 20 degrees.
It is also the perfect time of the year to do sports, spend time outdoors and maybe have a cold swim!

During the month of September we are introducing THE CHAKRAS.
This cycle of new classes is about exploring one chakra per month: from October to April.

The path of the Chakras is a transformative journey through all the aspects of the Self.

The Chakras are a map and by following it we are exploring the entire territory of our existence.

Introduction to the principles of Ayurveda today with Irina.
It has been a lovely gathering and we all went home with lots of new tips on how to take care of our health and digestion according to Ayurveda..
Did you know that your digestion is influenced by the sun? ☀️
It’s not only about WHAT you eat.. but equally important is WHEN..

At Casa Shakti we are a wonderful team of four people taking care of the animals.. from sunrise to sunset..
Apart from having hay available 24 hours, Sunny is following a Gut Healing Protocol under the supervision of a great holistic veterinarian from The Nederlands.
Thanks to the help of a friend who accepted to fly with Sunny’s poo in her luggage 😂 we managed to deliver that to the vet within 12 hours and have it analyzed to spot bacteria strains and imbalances..
To heal Laminitis you need to HEAL the GUTS!
Isn’t that the same for most of our chronic diseases?
Part of the remedies are also meant to help the functions of the liver and here Luciano is giving it to Sunny with all his love!!

When the weather is hot adjust your practice to it!
Here we chose to practice challenging postures like the shoulder stand and the plow that have a calming and cooling effect on the body and take the time to prepare them in a gentle way that keeps the body fresh and the mind relaxed.

To prepare for these postures you can do plenty of should stretches, gentle movements to release back and neck tensions and a variety of movements with your legs up.

The shoulder stand and the plow directly stimulate the thyroid gland that, among the many important functions, contributes in regulating body temperature.

Best if done under dog supervision! 😆
