Youth Cooperation for Migrants Integration

The YOU4MI project has ended in February 2024, after two years of successful work in an international partnership among organisations from Spain, Italy, Malta, Sweden, Greece, and Germany. We are pleased to invite you to downloading the peer-to-peer toolbox for network building and mutual integration of migrant young people in their new home country, with young locals and newcomers inspiring each other and learning together.

Last week we realized in Madrid the Final Multiplier Event of our KA2 YOU4Mi Youth Cooperation for Migrant Integration. We presented all the project results and activities to a great audience of young people, teachers, professionals, social representatives and other stakeholders! It was a blast!!!

The last month of the project rhymes with the final local events and this means that the partners are hard at work on the closing day. We will soon update you on the results, but in the meantime we show you the promotional posters that each partner made for the event sponsorship!!

🎯 After the final TPM which was hosted by GCR, we are moving to the planning of the Multiplier events in each participating country.

📌The KA2You4Mi project , , brought together more than 300 youth of migrant or/refugee background and local young people, with a peer-to-peer approach, in 6 European countries, involving in the process local organisations, schools, educators and teachers in a period of 12 months.

The Erasmus+ project YOU4MI is coming to an end. The materials for networking among teenagers and young adults using the peer method will soon be available and the pilot results from Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta, Sweden and Germany are currently being compiled.

MAD for Europe, having completed the R4 activities of the KA2 You4Mi project, has started to organise the final local multiplier event which will take place in Madrid next February and which will close a project full of satisfaction and professional growth. As confirmed by the feedback from some of the participants, all the activities satisfied the young people and were very helpful in fostering their integration into society.

🎯The TPM was held in Athens and was hosted by GCR. It was a great opportunity to discuss the project's implementation and finalised the next steps till the project's closure and planning the Multiplier events in each participating country.

Our R4 development and implementation meetings continue in Madrid. The sessions are very productive and are giving the young people the opportunity to get to know each other better and to integrate more and more into everyday Spanish life.

Towards integration and support of migrants: Last week's conference on Resettlement in Berlin, Germany.

YOU4MI supports mutual integration of migrants and locals. Settling in a new place means building a new network, making connections with the place and the people.

The activities of our KA2 YOU4Mi are succesfully being implemented in Madrid. We are now realizing the R4 peer-to-peer program for young locals and young migrants.

PEER LEARNING is powerful! Yesterday we met our project group in Turin. We discussed together about EU citizenship, Democracy, Participation and we shared direct experiences with youth.
Very interesting day!

MAD for Europe Training to Malta Svenska Youth League APS TIA Formazione Internazionale Ελληνικό Συμβούλιο για τους Πρόσφυγες - Greek Council for Refugees Padmanau Studio

Last week the 4th TPM between all partners was hosted online and it was very successful. We discussed about the training activities already realized both with young locals and young migrants and prepared together the next activities for the peer-to-peer program between them.

📍 Although it is summer and we all are having a much-deserved break, we don't stop thinking about the next term activities of our project.

Youth Cooperation for Migrants Integration aims at integrating youth migrants across Europe following the 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The project facilitates the way for all these young people who arrive in a country without knowing anything, so that they can be helped by the local citizens, thus supporting a peer-to- peer methodology.

The partners are continuing their work on the project and, in addition to the planned peer - to - peer activities, are disseminating the first results achieved. This is the case with the article written by the Spanish partner MAD for Europe, which described the wonderful experience in Rome and was useful for the implementation of the project

🎯On May 5, 2023, the "Focus Group: Promoting the Intercultural Dialogue in Athens" took place at the Hellenic Youth Participation venue. The purpose of the focus group was to create a discussion on the issue of intercultural dialogue in the environment of Athens.
📌GCR participated by presenting its own findings from the YOU4mi trainings.
On the issue of what is needed for an intercultural dialogue to be created, the participants agreed that respect and time are necessary "ingredients".
🎯This focus group was part of the KA2 project "DiaLog", which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
