🧬 UCAM researchers, in collaboration with the Regional Blood Donation Centre, have uncovered a key role of inflammation in myelofibrosis, a type of bone marrow cancer. By focusing on the NF-κB pathway, their study, published in the American Journal of Hematology, suggests that reducing inflammation could help manage severe symptoms and improve treatment outcomes with fewer side effects. This groundbreaking discovery could lead to new therapies targeting this pathway in patients with myelofibrosis.

UCAM’s health science lecturers joined the NGO Worldproject's expedition to Uganda, enhancing health education and preventive care.
