Το Σάββατο 20 και την Κυριακή 21 Απριλίου 2024 θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην Καλαμάτα (Elysian Luxury Hotel & Spa ) το «10ο Πανελλήνιο Φεστιβάλ Ελαιολάδου και Επιτραπέζιας Ελιάς Καλαμάτας», μια πρωτοβουλία του Αγροτικού Συνεταιρισμού Καλαμάτας Αγροτικός Συνεταιρισμός Καλαματάς που έχει καθιερωθεί ως ένα από τα σημαντικότερα γεγονότα σχετικά με την ελαιοκομία/ελαιοπαραγωγή στην Ελλάδα.

Για το παρόν και το μέλλον της ελαιοκομίας και όχι μόνο θα παρέμβουν πολύ σημαντικοί επιστήμονες, πανεπιστημιακοί και ειδικοί από διαφορετικές περιοχές. Επιπρόσθετα θα παρουσιαστούν καινοτόμα προϊόντα νέας τεχνολογίας από εταιρείες που δραστηριοποιούνται στο τομέα της Γεωργίας και ο Αγροτικός Ελαιουργικός Συνεταιρισμός Καλαμάτας θα παρουσιάσει τα επιστημονικά και οικολογικά προγράμματα στα οποία συμμετέχει.

Παράλληλα θα διεξαχθεί και το 1ο Αγροτοοικονομικό Φόρουμ με αντικείμενο τα πορτοκάλια, την πατάτα και το λάδι, με συναντήσεις παραγωγών με τις αντίστοιχες εταιρείες για το καλύτερο δυνατό αποτέλεσμα.
Στο τέλος των εργασιών θα διεξαχθεί διαγωνισμός ελαιολάδου όπου η επιτροπή γευσιγνωσίας των διαγωνιζόμενων ελαιολάδων θα απαρτίζεται από γευσιγνώστες ελαιολάδου, παραγωγούς, επισκέπτες και εκπρόσωπους φορέων – ΜΜΕ.

Το «10ο Πανελλήνιο Φεστιβάλ Ελαιολάδου και Επιτραπέζιας Ελιάς Καλαμάτας» διοργανώνεται υπό την Αιγίδα του Πολιτιστικού Οργανισμού «Δρόμοι της Ελιάς» και του «Δικτύου Ελαιοπαραγωγικών Πόλεων Μεσογείου Recomed». 🌿

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April 2024, the "10th Panhellenic Olive Oil and Table Olive Festival of Kalamata" will take place in Kalamata (at the Elysian Luxury Hotel and Spa), an initiative of the Agricultural Cooperative of Kalamata that has been established as one of the most important events on olive growing / olive oil production in Greece.

Very important scientists, academics and experts from different regions will intervene on the present and future of olive growing and beyond. In addition, innovative products of new technology from companies active in the field of agriculture will be presented and the Agricultural Cooperative of Kalamata will present the scientific and ecological programs it participates in.

At the same time, the 1st Agroeconomic Forum will be held on the subject of oranges, potatoes and olive oil with meetings between producers and their respective companies for the best possible outcome.
At the end of the activities, an olive oil contest will be held where the tasting committee of the competing olive oils will be composed of olive oil tasters, producers, visitors and representatives of institutions - SMEs.

A new elegant and extremely interesting edition with photographs by Oscar Pipkin and texts by Marinella Katsilieri was recently published by Centro Unesco Mallorca, the Associacio Intercambio Cultural /AIM and the support of the Institut d'estudis balearics and 29 municipalities of the Balearic Islands (Spain).

The Sierra de la Tramuntana, inscribed in 2011 on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural landscape, is a perfect example of an authentic natural and cultural landscape where the olive tree is a trademark.
