Our Story

SunSports Catalan Juniors Rugby Tournament

Taking place from the 4th to the 8th of April, enjoy 2 days of rugby with Catalan, Spanish, French guest teams and other UK opposition. With accommodation based in Lloret de Mar or Platja d’Aro, the tournament venue will be in Girona, approx 40 mins from the hotel. After the tournament, there is a day out at the Port Aventura theme park in Salou, included in the price.

AGE GROUPS: Under16s, Under14s and Under12s

Overview:
The basic package price of £260 p.p. is based on groups
arranging their own coach transport to Spain.
In-resort transfers as necessary can be arranged for flight groups
for £55 p.p., along with a day trip to Barcelona, as an optional extra.

Accommodation:
3*** hotel in triple and four bedded rooms. There is a supplement for single rooms. The accommodation includes 4 nights FULL BOARD* (2 snack lunches are provided at the tournament venue), with an option of staying a 5th night.

Tournament:
This will take place over the Sunday and Monday. The tournament will be organised by our experienced local rugby staff, based on the rules and regulations adapted from the Catalan Rugby Federation.

First aid will be available from the Catalan Red-Cross.

Linesmen: Each team should designate 1 or more linesmen.

Excursions: A full day at Port Aventura theme park is included. A day trip to Barcelona is an optional extra for groups staying an extra night.

Player Insurance: Players are insured for the TWO DAYS of tournament play. Also be sure to bring your European medical cards (used to be E111)

Resort Assistance: We will provide 24 hour resort assistance for you during your stay.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

Travel:
Flights are NOT included, nor coach travel from the UK. We suggest you look at “low-cost” airlines flying into GIRONA. Alternative arrival airports are BARCELONA or PERPIGNAN (please see Transport above).

Travel Insurance:
You should take out suitable travel insurance.
