Congratulations to Logan Waithe (St. Benedict's College) and Liam Rajkumar (Presentation College San Fernando) on winning the boys doubles under 13 at the Carebaco Junior Badminton Championship held in Aruba. They won convincingly in straight sets 21/4, 21/16.

Logan also got a bronze medal in the mixed doubles where he was paired with Rishelle Boodoosingh

Journey To Becoming a Catholic Teacher is a course geared to preparing aspiring teachers for teaching in Catholic schools.

It is a requirement for those wishing to apply to be a teacher with the Catholic Education Board of Management.

There are three modules to the course and each module comprises of three sessions. These sessions will be a mix of in-person sessions and online sessions via Zoom. All sessions are mandatory

Session Times:
- Online sessions run from 9:00am to 12:00 pm

- In person sessions run from 9:00am to 3:00pm and are at different venues. Details regarding the venues will be given in advance.

Congratulations to St. Benedict's College on placing 2nd in the 2024 Secondary Schools Rugby league. The finals were held at San Juan North Secondary School on Friday, 16th August. MVP for the South Zone Rugby League was Ezekiel Wilson of St Benedict's College.

Logan Waithe a Form One student at St Benedict's College has been selected to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Carebaco Junior Badminton Championships 2024, which will be held in Aruba from August 22nd - 25th.

Logan will play in the Under-13 division in all three categories: singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. He will also be accompanied by Liam Rajkumar from Presentation College San Fernando in the doubles category.

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mr. Rene Ramoutar, Principal of Todd's Road Rc.

Mr. Ramoutar has been a teacher for 37 years. He taught at San Fernando Boys, St. David's RC, La Romaine RC, and Maraval RC. He then served as Vice Principal at Rosary Boys RC before becoming the Principal of Todd's Road RC in 2007.

He has been a teacher to many and has served our schools faithfully.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐭 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒!

Over the last five weeks, Presentation College San Fernando embarked on a Life Skills program with the assistance of parents and staff. This was called Pres Got Skills 2024!

They had various skills being taught - electrical, woodworking, plumbing, barbering, hydroponics, mixology, auto care, event management, along with others like Archery, Intro to German Culture, intro to inventing and learning, intro to tailoring, intro to graphic design, intro to culinary arts, intro to sign language, intro to photography.

Last week they held their graduation ceremony for ALL students from forms 1-4 who were required to participate in one skill training program. CEBM joins the school in thanking the VP Mr. Philip for being the Lead of this program.

TTPS and Alcoholics Anonymous together presented lectures to all Form 3 students in the library. The topic was on Male Mental Health Awareness and the ability to make better decisions as men. Male mental health awareness is observed in the month of June

Chinapoo (a student of St. Benedict's College) stopped the clock at a personal best 10.39 seconds to grab gold in Saturday’s boys’ Under-20 100 metres final.

Chinapoo on fire! Kadeem Chinapoo was on fire at the Maximizing Athletic Potential (MAP) Juvenile and Invitational Meet, held at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, in Marabella, on the weekend.

On Friday, St.Martin de Porres, Morne Diable R.C. hosted their first 'Daddy's Day' event in celebration of Father's Day. The students shared a meal with their fathers and played various games together.
