¡𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗦 𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗦!

Acaba de publicarse la descripción de 𝘀𝗲𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗲́𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀) 𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀. Bajo el nombre de 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘫𝘰𝘢 𝘳𝘪𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘪, supuestamente de distribución mundial y comportamiento invasor, se escondían estas especies canarias descritas ahora ✅

Una de ellas, 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙭, se considera un paleoendemismo relictual del Pleistoceno. Por el momento se ha encontrado únicamente en una cueva submarina del sur de Tenerife. La población tiene dos colonias diferentes que crecen en un arrecife rocoso y cubriendo parcialmente sustrato mu**to de coral negro (𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘸𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪) ✅

Según los autores del trabajo publicado las otras cinco son especies exóticas no invasoras, posiblemente habitantes de las costas de África continental: 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙟𝙤𝙖 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙩𝙞, 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙟𝙤𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙖, 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙟𝙤𝙖 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙞, 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙟𝙤𝙖 𝙢𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙨𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖 y 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙟𝙤𝙖 𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙚 ✅

We had two of the most incredible dives where we encountered not one, not two, but THREE majestic turtles 🐢🐢🐢, a mesmerizing school of barracudas 🐟, and a massive roughtail stingray (not having the stingray emoji, which one should we use???).
