- "¡Hola! Me llamo Alicia y soy voluntaria ESC en Mundekulla, un centro de retiros y festivales en el bosque de Småland.

Nuestras principales áreas de voluntariado son la cocina y el jardín, aunque también cuidamos del bosque. Todo esto lo desarrollamos desde una visión de permacultura, consciente tanto social como medioambientalmente.

Durante los últimos meses también hemos creado algunos productos como infusiones, mermeladas y sal de hierbas para nuestra “farm shop” del café que tenemos en Mundekulla. Es un lugar muy especial.

Lo mejor de todo es que estoy muy agradecida por los otros voluntarios que me acompañan en esta experiencia🌿🌸👩🏼‍🌾"

Updates from the TourX Project! 🏝️

On Wednesday 31st July, the 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗫 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 joined for a monthly Online Meeting, with the aim of reviewing progress on the various Work Packages. 💼

The meeting provided an update on the overall
𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 activities, including a review of timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Key focus areas were ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any emerging challenges. 💡

An update on 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟮 - 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 was presented, highlighting the organization of a 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 in November. The team working on Work Package 3 shared the advancements in designing the TourX "𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀" Toolbox. This toolbox aims to provide innovative tools and resources for enhancing excellence in hospitality education and training. 💯

We are happy to announce the successful participation of five Spanish 🇪🇸 and one French 🇫🇷 young volunteers sent by Mundus in the recently concluded 'Health, Hiking, and Heritage' (H3) program. 🎉

Coordinated by the Italian organization Strauss APS, this 59-day project brought together 45 participants from all over Europe to promote health, cultural heritage, and environmental awareness. 🏞️🏛️🌿

Successful Completion of 'Health, Hiking, and Heritage' Mundus is happy to announce the successful participation of six youngsters in the recently concluded 'Health, Hiking, and Heritage' (H3) program.

At Mundus, we believe in lifelong learning and we work to enhance the professional development of vocational training staff through international experiences. 🌍✈️

🇵🇱🏫 Currently, we are hosting 100 Polish teachers in Fuerteventura for a couple of weeks. We've tailored a program to improve their English and specific professional skills related to mental health and coaching tools. The beautiful surroundings of this island provide the perfect background for this educational experience.🌅

A very intense game was held last Wednesday... 🏀🔥

A great basketball game was played at the José Garcés Municipal Sports Center. The teams were made up of VET Erasmus+ students who are currently in Zaragoza doing internships in companies and some coordinators from the Mundus team. What better way to end the day after a day of work and learning? 🏅😊

         

The "H3 - Health, Hiking, Heritage" ESC Volunteering project in Italy is progressing wonderfully. After starting together in Mussomeli, our volunteers split into international teams to explore different sections of the VIE FRANCIGENE DI SICILIA 🏞️. They've been hiking and engaging in activities that promote healthy lifestyles, protect cultural heritage, and raise awareness about inclusion in rural areas 🏃‍♀️🏛️.

Now, for the mid-term evaluation, all teams have reunited in Mussomeli to review their progress, rest, and prepare for the next phase 🔄. In this new stage, all teams will walk and work together along a unified route, continuing their mission to positively impact Sicilian communities 🤝.

Throughout their stay, our coordinators guide students with follow-up mentoring sessions. The icing on the cake of these sessions? The "final evaluation." 📊

Soon, we'll be launching an innovative IT tool for the self-assessment of student competencies, available for VET schools to download and use with their students. This tool will assess both technical skills (e.g., knowledge in logistics, construction, or renewable energy) and soft skills, providing a comprehensive evaluation of student abilities and their preparation for the labor market.

Our partners engaged in fruitful discussions, aligning on the final actions and agreeing on the next steps. Stay tuned for more updates!

🙌 Join us in celebrating the incredible journey of 45 volunteers from all over Europe as they participate in the ESC Volunteering "H3 - Health, Hiking, Heritage" in Italy.

This program is organised by Strauss APS in Sicily and funded by the European Union through European Solidarity Corps programme.

This project focuses on Health, Hiking, and Heritage, with volunteers coming together for 59 days to make a difference. They will be promoting healthy lifestyles, protecting cultural heritage in Sicily, and raising awareness on important issues like health, nature, and inclusion.

Mundus is one of the sending organizations supporting these amazing volunteers as they trek through ancient paths, engage in various activities, and create meaningful deliverables that will impact communities and organizations in Sicily and beyond.

Smart Step partnership meeting just took place in Valencia, marking the second in-person meeting to assess project progress and plan future activities. 🌍✨

Our project managers, Santo Astorino and Clara Badenes, who are deeply involved in the day-to-day tasks and progress of Smart Step, attended the meeting as Mundus representatives.

Hosted by Smart Step partner IDEAS UPV , the meeting included a training session on "How to establish an incubator and become a mentor." This session is part of Work Package 5, focusing on enhancing entrepreneurship in VET centers for both trainers and students. Additionally, we had the opportunity to tour IDEAS-UPV facilities and learn about their extensive mentoring program for entrepreneurs. 🏫💡

This collaborative effort aims to enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), recognizing the vital role of entrepreneurship in fostering innovation and improving employability among young people in Ghana and Cameroon. 🚀📚

🔝 On 21 & 22 May 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training - EVBB hosted a successful meeting where partners gathered to drive the Tour X project forward.

Iva Perkovic and Beatrice Bellet, as representatives of MUNDUS, led the discussion on key topics for developing the online platform for the internationalization of VET providers.

This platform aims to encourage and strengthen international activities and mobility actions in their centers. The platform will be launched and made available to the public in June. 🚀💡

We’re very grateful for the successful training on ‘International Migration to Europe: Dangers and Opportunities,’ held on May 3rd and 4th, 2024, at DBTI Sunyani and organized by Mundus as part of the Skilling Eco-VET project. Here is a short overview:

📅 Day 1: ‘Europe: Expectation vs Reality’
James Wood shared firsthand experiences and legal insights on migration.

📅 Day 2: ‘Returning: Challenges and Opportunities’
Emmanuel Kwadjo Kyeremeh discussed the stigma returnees face and how communities can support them.

👏 Thank you to the 10 dedicated participants—8 VET teachers, 1 counselor, and 1 Job Service Officer—who committed to learning how to guide their students on the realities and risks of irregular migration.

🎤 A huge thanks to the speakers: James Wood and Emmanuel Kwadjo Kyeremeh. Your contributions have empowered our educators to make a real difference in the community.

🙌 And to the coordinators: Lord Horlali Bobbie (Job Service Officer) for leading the training and Clara Badenes (Project Manager at Mundus) for supervising it.

An afternoon dedicated to learning about the innovative experience of three companies that host Erasmus+ VET students in internships with Mundus and discussing employability and recruiting international talent with a focus on SMEs in a round table with the participation of: Aragón Exterior, , CEEIARAGON, CEOE Aragón, ,

Quique Miana, CEO of the Mundus Group, opened the event and the person in charge of closing it was Ana Sanz Campos, General Director of SMEs and Self-Employed. Both emphasized the importance of attracting international talent to the community and organizing thematic weeks like this one.
