ከቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ሆስፒታል ሜሊኒየም ሕክምና ኮሌጅ የማሕጸንና ጽንስ ትምህርት ክፍል SPIRHR ከተባለ መንግስታዊ ያልሆነ ድርጅት ጋር በመተባበር "የኢትዮጵያ እርግዝና የቀን መቁጠሪያ" መተግበሪያ አዘጋጀ፡፡
መተግበሪያው በተለይ ለጤና ባለሙያዎች በእጅጉ የሚረዳቸውና የታካሚዎችንም መረጃ በተፈለገው መልኩ ሰንዶ የያዘ ነው፡፡ ለአብነትም የመውለጃ ቀንን ያሰላል፣ ለእርግዝና የተወሰኑ ምርመራዎች መቼ መደረግ እንዳለባቸው ቀኖችን ያመለክታል፡፡ይህምአልትራሳውንድ NT ምርመራ፣ የአናቶሚክ ስካን፣ OGTT ይጨምራል፡፡
መተግበሪያው የነፍሰጡር እናቶች የቅድመ ወሊድ ክትትል የቀን መቁጠሪያ በኢትዮጵያ እና በፈረንጆች ቀን አቆጣጠር የሚሰራ ነው፡፡ መተግበሪያው በፕሌይስቶር እና በአፕስቶር ይገኛል፡፡

St. Paul’s Institute of Reproductive Health and Rights (SPIRHR) in collaboration with the department of Ob-Gyn at SPHMMC has developed inhouse an “Ethiopian Pregnancy Calendar” App. The app is an important provider job aid has many important features which include
- Calculating gestational age and EDD from LNMP, from ultrasound, from date of embryo transfer and conception date (for intrauterine insemination)
- It provides the dates for a given pregnancy specific investigation such as for Ultrasound Nuchal translucency, anatomic scanning, OGTT when indicated, etc
- It also provides the dates for a given pregnancy for specific interventions such as for low dose aspirin and anti D administration
- It has St. Paul’s protocol for medication abortion under various scenarios like gestational age and uterine scar
- It also informs date for elective cesarean section, EDD, post term
- Assists Bishop score calculation
- It also provides ANC schedule dates using the national ANC
The best part regarding the APP is that it works both in Gregorian and Ethiopian calendar and will be quite useful for all maternal health care providers in Ethiopia and beyond. Available now on Google Play & Apple App store.

- ለእርግዝና የተወሰኑ ምርመራዎችን ለምሳሌ ለአልትራሳውንድ NT ምርመራ፣ የአናቶሚክ ስካን፣ OGTT ወዘተ መሰራት ያለባቸውን ቀኖች ይጠቁማል
- እንዲሁም ለተወሰኑ ህክምናዎች እንደ አስፕሪን እና Anti-D ያሉ ህክምናዎች መሰጠት ያለባቸውን የእርግዝና ቀናትን ይሰጣል
- የእርግዝናን ቀን መቼ እንደሚያልፍ (Postterm) ያሳውቃል
- የBishop score ስሌትን ይረዳል
- እንዲሁም የሃገራችንን የቅድመ ወሊድ ክትትል ሰሌዳ በመጠቀም የቀጠሮ ቀናትን ያቀርባል
መተግበሪያው በጎርጎሮሳውያን እና በኢትዮጵያ አቆጣጠር የሚሰራ መሆኑ ልዩ ያደርገዋል በተጨማሪም በኢትዮጵያ እንዲሁም ከኢትዮጲያ ውጭ ላሉ የእናቶች ጤና አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች በጣም ጠቃሚ ነው። መተግበሪያውን በፕሌይ ስቶር ለአንድሮይድ እና በአፕ ስቶር ላይ በሚከተለው ሊንክ ይገኛል።

SPIRHR in collaboration with EngenderHealth and St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College-SPHMMC held a 2-day Value Clarification and Attitude Transformation training from April 19-20,2024. The trainees were SRH service providers and graduating medical students. The training will continue in multiple rounds.

SPIRHR is hosting a two-day training workshop on implementation science in partnership with CIRHT-UM. This workshop aims to explore how complementary implementation science (IS) research methods can bridge the gap between high-quality evidence and effective health programs. The training focuses on addressing implementation barriers, using appropriate research and evaluation methods for fidelity and effectiveness, learning from real-world examples, and applying these principles to clinical practice in Ethiopia to enhance healthcare outcomes. The training is taking place on the 15th and 16th of April, 2024, and is being led by Dr. Julie Buser from CIRHT-UM.

Excited to announce the completion of the first Cohort of Basic Obstetrics Ultrasound Training for Ethiopian Obstetric Care Providers by SPIRHR, Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists ESOG and Addis Ababa Health Bureau from April 1-12,2024. This collaborative effort aims to empower care providers with vital skills to improve maternal health outcomes and antenatal care quality. The program will continue mentoring and evaluating the trainees for the next 03 months before fully qualifying the providers.Learn more at [SPIRHR's website](www.spirhr.org)
