Rabah and Sons: Concluded first phase water supply project at Kebri Dehar and commence second phase shortly


We had successfully concluded the first face of water supply project in Kebri Dehar Town, in January 2019.The water supply project completed recently at Kebri Dehar was a pilot project which its successful completion open doors to other towns and villages in the Somali region to have similar this project.

Water is the crucial needs in the Somali region due to the seasonal little rainfall that made the land semi-arid desert. Major population is living in the rural area with nomadic lifestyle where animals and people face difficulties for water shortages.

Last two decades population in the region were moving into the towns and villages because of some factors like drought recurrence killed animals and made people destitute forced large number of families to resettle urban.

To redress lifestyle of the population settling into the towns was made schemes offering clean water to the dwellers in the region.

Rabah and Sons Plc participate building public infrastructures to make people’s living condition better and put the country place it can compete economically other regional countries.

Recently we have completed the first phase of water supply project at Kebri Dehar Town and soon we resume the second phase of the water supply project which makes the town to have complete water supply similar with international city standards according to water Bureau.

The first phase was prepared six boreholes to be factional, supplied and installed pipes with varied sizes those some are taking water from boreholes then pouring into four reservoirs built in suitable location in the town. We had installed pipes taking out water from the reservoirs into the town’s major venues. As well as w readiness pumping, chlorination stations.

The second phase mainly will concentrate installation and distribution pipelines into the town, where every household, business and government buildings bypass water streaming pipes carrying enough amount of clean consumable water.

Completion of this project Kebri Dehar will have good standard of life and become home of many people getting courage availability of consumption for clean running water pipes. Clean water availability will attract new settlers, visitors able to stay longer and courage business
