lead the development of a fundraising strategy and identify new donors.

In Ethiopia's Gambela region, Adugk Owitti, 35, fled conflict in South Sudan with her four children to Pinyudo camp, enduring a challenging journey. Despite her disability from a childhood fire accident, she faced food scarcity and inadequate sanitation.

Oxfam, in collaboration with ECHO (the European Union) funding, has initiated a project in aimed at enhancing water accessibility for 75,000 individuals by restoring and maintaining water systems in the central and southern zones of Tigray.

Specifically, in the Kola-Tembien district, which houses a population of 114,155 people including 5,433 internally displaced persons across 17 Kebeles, such as Merere. Among these Kebeles, Merere alone hosts 47 water schemes, with 10 of them being effectively maintained through ECHO's support. However, 18 schemes remain in disrepair.

Letechirkos Girmay and Tsedale Tekayi shared their experiences, noting that previously, they had to walk for three hours to access unclean water, whereas now they have access to clean water around the corner.
