The stand was super popular at the Tourism Expo Japan! Japan is an important market for Fiji, especially with direct flights from Tokyo - Nadi via Fiji Airways. Well done to Regional Director Asia - Vincent and his team on the great work being done to continue to grow this market!

Remember: If you can’t bin it, bag it! Just like the Kasikasi—the Fijian hermit crab—carries its shell as its home, we encourage everyone to keep our home close to our heart by carrying a bin bag wherever we go.

The Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, an IHG Hotel is really shaping up to be one of the most special resorts in , if these shots are anything to go by! The all new Urban Sugar Beach Club opens soon, and joins the already impressive La Bottega restaurant, Latitude bar and club and Azura Pool bar that have opened in the last few weeks. This beautiful view is the site of Wananavu Resort - currently under re-construction in Ra. Such an under-rated part of but hopefully not for long once this 100 room resort opens! Incredible vistas and soft coral diving and snorkelling, the Sun Coast has so much to offer! Can't wait for this one to be complete and again welcome tourists to beautiful Ra!

We're excited to be working with the NRL, who announced today the Pacific Championships, coming to this October! The mighty mens Fijian Bati play against the PNG Kumuls on 19 Oct, and the Cook Islands Aitu on 26 Oct at HFC Stadium in Suva. The womens Fijian Bulikula play Cook Islands Moana also on the 26th in a double header, with Tonga & Samoa women doing battle on the 19th as well. Top right, the always reliable Fiji Gateway Hotel have just announced a further 47 room extension, and bottom right Yatule Resort and Spa at Natadola Beach has undergone a beautiful renovation, reopening this past weekend. Congratulations to Div Damodar and his team, at the unveiling of the all new Ramada Encore by Wyndham, in ! This is the first international brand to come to Labasa, and its a proud moment for Damodar and for Fiji, as we see the impact of now spreading right across our islands. The 40 rooms are complemented by a conference facility, pool and gym, and brings a new standard of hotel to Labasa, as part of the Damodar City precinct. July was our biggest month ever for visitor arrivals into ! That's an amazing result, and testament to the hard work of our industry - from our airline partners esp FJ, to hotels, tourism experiences, marine partners, and everyone involved! Its exciting to see more tourists choosing our strategic priorities - like adventure tourism, wellness, and discovering more of Fiji! This sustainable growth has enormous benefits for our industry and for our country, with 70% of tourism owned locally, and so many jobs being created. Vinaka - fantastic to celebrate this record!

This pic is at the Nadi Airport where the baggage handlers bring in more and more surfboards every week as surf tourism continues to boom. An expected global audience of 10 million+ will see images of our beautiful surf spots and tourism areas shown to the world, growing our destination for surfers and adventurers all over the world!

Some serious star power was in Fiji last week to help with the amazing work Coral Gardeners are doing to help restore our reefs and ocean. Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth were on hand to launch 1 yr of CG's branch in Fiji. Doing great work team!
