Qaqi Mai: Bike Share Fiji

Our dedicated Public Relations Officer, Ms. Maria May Bavou joins Domoika Hike, Waterfall & Rock Climbing Adventures Founder Matelita Bainivalu Katamotu at The University of the South Pacific. This immersive experience is part of a program organized by Think Pacific, extending a warm welcome to students from the University of Notre Dame.

The focal point of this educational initiative is to engage students in discussions on elevating the Qaqi Mai: Bike Share Fiji brand in the dynamic realm of media. The collaborative efforts of the students involve crafting comprehensive public relations and media strategies for Qaqi Mai. This strategic planning encompasses the creation of press releases, a series of impactful social media posts, the development of short videos tailored for websites or social media platforms, and the crafting of news stories enriched with captivating photos and natural sounds.

The students are also venturing into the realm of blogging, exploring innovative ideas to enhance the brand's visibility and resonance in the media landscape. Through this hands-on study tour, the participating students are gaining practical insights into the intricacies of media management, public relations, and strategic communication.

This initiative fosters a dynamic environment where creativity thrives and ideas flourish to bring Qaqi Mai's mission and essence to a broader audience. The collaborative efforts of Ms. Maria May Bavou, Matelita Bainivalu Katamotu, and the aspiring students from the University of Notre Dame aim to carve a compelling narrative for Qaqi Mai and our tourism space, ensuring its positive and impactful presence in the media world.

Thanks to GGGI Pacific, we were able to reinvest our grant with FDB to secure a loan facility of more than $100,000FJD for our pilot phase.

Over 6months of negotiations and getting our paperwork in order, we finally got approval. Seeing how major institutions are investing their time and money on the development of green transportation systems like ours is uplifting.

Especially when its the first time its going to be done in the country. Special mention to Land Transport Authority of Fiji , Accident Compensation Commission, Fiji, Fiji Roads Authority, Tourism Fiji and Fiji Government on helping us reach this stage of building Capital.
