Dear all,
Following the statement from the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services, Dr James Fong, on 21.04.21, the University is immediately taking the following actions:
• All staff to work from home from the next 14 days (22 April to 5 May). Only essential staff will be allowed on Campus, and attendance will be at the discretion of the Division Heads or College Deans. This decision may be reviewed in light of changing circumstances. Please contact your supervisor if you are not equipped to work from home.
• Anyone leaving their home must wear a face-covering and have the CareFIJI app turned on. There will also be mandatory temperature checks at all campus entrances, and strict physical distancing and hand-hygiene measures will be in force.
• All face-to-face teaching and instruction are suspended until 5 May at the earliest, in line with FHEC direction. Colleges will contact students about online provision; kindly check your student email for any communications from the Colleges.
You are kindly requested to adhere to government guidelines and restrict movements to only essential travel.
All students and staff are advised to follow the FNU website, official FNU social media pages and check their emails for ongoing advisories regarding University operations.

Hello Students'
Attached is the latest update by FNU on the current situation.
For students who are in the Nadi and Lautoka lockdown area, please stay calm and patient. Discussion is still underway about resumption of classes after mid semester week. We will update you all as soon as FNUSA updates us. They will surely be considerate and decide on an option that is safe and convenient for all.
For our regional students and those who are in hostels, please contact your respective hostel warden if you are facing any difficulties. They will surely help you. Do not be hesitant.
These are tough times but we shall pass it soon. Wash your hands , sanitize, wear masks , try to stay inside and follow the curfew orders! Encouraging all to get vaccinated as soon as the government announces on that .
Stay safe, keep calm and wait for the next update.
