This day last week, we gathered for the ClimateLaunchpad (CLP24) Fiji National Finals.

We're thankful for the lineup of experts that made up our panel of jurors. They participated in assessing and scoring our finalists' pitches last Thursday.

All experts in their various green spaces, vinaka vakalevu to you all 👏🏾👏🏾

1. Steve Cordeiro - is a trainer, mentor and coach, and operates his own wholesale factory in Sydney, in skin care, and promoting green products as well.

2. Akisi Bolabola - is the national coordinator for Fiji's UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme and a passionate advocate for a sustainable natural environment.

3. Eliesa Taufa O'Connor - is a driven entrepreneur who founded and manages Clean Water Technologies and Naisevu Organic Farm.

Amoreena's green business idea is dedicated to eco-friendly retreats and authentic homestay experiences that integrate sustainable practices and reduce environmental impacts, whilst building on immersive and educational experiences for travelers.

🥈🏆Congratulations on a successful pitch last night at the ClimateLaunchpad Fiji national finals and making it to the next round.

Amoreena will be Fiji's 🇫🇯 second representative to compete at the Asia Pacific & Africa semi-finals next month!

Meet Tiko Edson 🌺

The founder of ReNiu Creations. Tiko's green business idea is to establish Fiji's first upcycle hub, dedicated to empowering women artisans at the grassroots level, to transform waste materials into valuable products, fostering sustainable practices and reducing environmental impact.

⏳ The countdown to the 2024 ClimateLaunchpad (CLP24) Fiji National Finals is underway!

🎉🎉Congratulations to our two national finalists Amoreena Mitchell Tikoilawaqa of Garden Island Retreat & Eco Tours and Tiko Edson of ReNiu Creations.

From a group of 8 applicants and following 2 months of intensive bootcamp training with one of best trainers around the world and coaching sessions with our team, the two finalists will tonight compete and present their green business pitches to a national jury.

We believe in people who believe in their idea and want to grow further 💪. They join the CLP, the world's biggest & smartest green business ideas competition and are vying to win prize money & entry to the Accelerator programme. 🌏👩‍🏫 ➡️

If successful, they will represent Fiji in the Asia Pacific semi regional finals that will see them compete with other applicants from countries like PNG and Vietnam.

Our small but passionate team of 4 women is committed to nurturing startups, small businesses and community-based ventures, and this workshop was a perfect reflection of that mission.

A special shout out to the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme Fiji for providing us with the perfect venue, and to Mr Isoa Tubuna of Tubuna Business Development for leading the dynamic business planning exercise with the Board Directors. Your guidance was invaluable!.

🎊 Celebrating World MSME Day in Namosi 🏞️🌞

Team Extraordinaires Fiji on Saturday joined other Fijian MSMEs as well as public and private sector stakeholders in the picturesque Namosi Highlands.

Set within the lush green landscapes and peacefulness of this untouched destination, the celebrations were held at the Namosi Secondary School.

Vinaka vakalevu to the MSME Council for organising this wonderful event and bringing this out to the Vanua of Namosi.

Extremely heartwarming to see the women and men, and the youth of Namosi come out and make use of this networking and knowledge sharing opportunity.

It was a Saturday we'll spent and we're super excited to participate and be apart of this awesome MSME movement ✊🏽

What an extremely humbling moment to see Fiji 🇫🇯 participate at its first ClimateLaunchpad Regional Final Asia Pacific!.

Our 3 national finalists 🇫🇯 Sanfred Smith of , Loma Mataika of and Arno Roos of pitched their ideas last night. Super proud of our gang, they've harnessed the skills learned through the trainings to get them here 🙌🏾.

They were amongst 15 other innovative from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬, Pakistan 🇵🇰, Vietnam 🇻🇳 and Japan🇯🇵.

It's been enlightening to see the wealth and diversity of innovation in clean and green technology solutions towards addressing the crisis.

Vinaka vakalevu to our 3 national finalists for a job well done. We did not make it up to the next stage, but we've created history in taking this first and bold step 👍🏾
