Eight years ago we became a Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk flagbearer and organised a walk to commemorate with 30 participants. This year we had over 120 women join our Suva and Lautoka 2024 ! Over the years we have seen not just the growth of participation numbers but more importantly the growth of the women themselves, especially the mentees who have been impacted by mentoring and how it has opened doors, networks and opportunities for them. And in essence that’s what this is all about - Vinaka vakalevu to all the mentors, mentees and speakers. Special mention to Paradiso Restaurant & Bar for accommodating us. Lastly the biggest thank you to for supporting us in this Walk - TokSave Pacific Women Lead Pacific-Community-SPC

GWF congratulates our VP membership on her graduation with not only a Bachelors in Engineering but also receiving best female engineering award! Well done Eleni!

“It is such a great honour to be sharing this colossal event with him. He has been such a great inspiration to me, always so encouraging and helpful. I have seen him tackle his education with patience and perseverance. We have been together for over 11 years now, so this has been a surreal experience for the both of us, definitely a ‘one for the book’ moment."

Eleni Taubale Tabua says of sharing this momentous occasion with her husband, Gerard Young. Eleni graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours (First Class), and Gerard graduated from the same programme but in the Upper Second Class.

Eleni also received the Engineers Fiji Prize for female topper in Bachelor of Engineering.
