Surrounded by hard working teachers and parents, is a long line of traditions that this prestigious institution has adapted over the years making it a unique and diverse culture clustered together. Also, with additional resources that help run the school are alumni's or Old Boys (OB's) as they are generally called, that add flavor and is the back bone of this tightly knitted community. Apart from
education the school has a passion for sports or organized games that creates zeal and motivation for these young men to pursue in working together to overcome barriers and obstacles. These are namely a few morals that the school teaches their students. School sports range from, Athletics, Rugby, Basketball,Soccer, Badminton, Swimming and Volleyball, as you can see that there are a selection of sports where one can choose to participate. Giving and allowing individuals the opportunity to choose a sport that they are interested in, if it may be. Giving it a unique charisma which sets aside from other high schools is that of this educational community believes in maintaining a balance of academics and athletics. The school believes that these two components go hand in hand in making one's years in this community a fruitful, successful and most importantly a memorable one. The campus itself has a population of 700+ students from all walks of life. Allowing local students to mingle and to learn about other cultures giving both sides (local and international) students a taste of the best of what these cultures had to offer. Grades or forms as they are generally called range from Forms 3-7 and the Sports Academy years 1 and 2, where students learn of Sports Science and the basic fundamentals that come with it which includes sports facilitation, nutrition and health care. These forms and academy range from the ages of 14-19 years with an exception of a few students. A notable aspect to this community is the dormitory that the school has which caters for students who are from the outer islands, from far distances within the mainland of Viti-Levu or international. The "Ratu Mara Hostel" is named after a Fijian inspirational figure who is also an OB of the school. The dorm teaches and upholds morals such as discipline and a sense of Brotherhood that has each student who live in the dorms call each other "FAMILY". Their Motor "I am my Brothers Keeper", need not to say more for further explanation as this quote says it all. Augustine (Green), Alphonsous (Red), Lambert (Yellow) and Claudius (Blue) are house colors where students generally inherit the house colors from their brothers, or uncles, or fathers and even grandfathers- who once were wearing those colors when they were in school or they are given a color by Sports Co-ordinator. The School colors are RED, WHITE & BLUE (Navy), RED being the dominant color. This can be clearly seen in any organized competitions around the country. The uniform itself is all white which comprises of a formal shirt & Sulu-vaka-toga with black sandals. Completing the uniform is the School badge, which is clearly and proudly won by students. Overall, this school has enrolled students who have become inspirational figures of communities, leaders and part of Fijian Governments, also not forgetting elite athletes who have represented either the nation of Fiji or other countries in the world, gaining local and international popularity. Due to this reason this school has attracted many young men who want to become part of this long line of traditions and culture of the school. Speaking and writing as an OB, my wish to you my brothers, present and future, is that to keep the brotherhood alive and continue your endeavors of excellence with God being in the forefront of everything- "IN HOC SIGNO VINCES"
