Yesterday, our athletes and coach, in Korea went out into Seoul City and had an amazing cultural experience.
They started off the day, driving into the city, went into Hanbok Store where they were given traditional Korean attire to wear to their next destination.
They then went on to visit Geongbokgung Palace, which is a Palace that was built in the 1395 where the King lived with his family. This Palace is currently being restored and they are looking at having it 70% restored by 2070.
They then went on to have lunch at the Lotte Mall and went up to the top of the Lotte Tower which is the highest tower in Korea.
When they returned to the Training Center, the night was finished off with a mini athletes forum, discussing para sports and positive and negative points that need to be looked at.
Thank you again Korea Paralympic Committee for another amazing day for our Para Players.

Our athletes and coach have now completed Day 5 of the Korea Paralympic Para Sport Youth Camp.
They started the day in their sports academy sessions, working on speed, agility and game play.
Session two was a one hour stretching session, showing athletes the best ways to stretch to ensure they can keep themselves from getting injured and making sure to do stretches correctly.
The final sports academy session was working on footwork, net work and four on four game play.
They finished off the night, learning the basics of Taekwondo, with two level six Taekwondo Black Belts. It was an amazing evening of learning and connecting with other para athletes.
Tomorrow, they will be doing a Korean cultural experience which is an all day tour of different famous places in Seoul. They are looking forward to tomorrow and we will have updates for you all tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Day 4 ✔️
Today, our athletes started the day with a Sports Academy Session, working on footwork, precision and game play.
Their second session was spent in the gym, working on various strength exercises and finished off the sport program, learning to play Boccia - a precision ball sport, a sport played at local, National and international level by persons with severe disabilities.
They finally ended their night, learning K-POP dance moves from two professional K-POP dancers and learning a full routine which some of their translators and peers will perform at the closing ceremony.
Thank you again Korea Paralympic Committee for this amazing experience for our athletes and coach.

Today saw them go through another two Sports Academy Sessions, working on team play, game planning, discussions with Korean Coaching Staff and learning about using the correct gym equipment to best fit their needs.
Overall, today was a massive success for athletes and organisers alike and we finished off the evening with a Korean Comedy Show.
Thank you Korea Paralympic Committee for today and we are eager to see what tomorrow holds.

Over this past weekend, Badminton Fiji was very busy with two separate events.
Over the weekend, we hosted the Tappoo sponsored Suva Doubles Open where we had over 60 participants taking part across three separate grades and all doubles disciplines.
Thank you to the organising committee, CDragonZ Club and to the major sponsor Tappoos for making this event possible.
Separately, our team was also down at the International School Fun Day where our very own Joe ran an Air Badminton come and try session.
These sessions were a great success and peaked some great interest from parents and students alike.
A big shout out and thank you to Badminton Oceania and BWF Development & Shuttle Time for whom none of this would be possible.
Here are some shots of the weekend.
