The recently opened DMC in Nadi is receiving a significant amount of traffic. As of 8:30 PM on Sunday, We Spy Fiji Jasoos observed and counted over 350 people inside, with an additional 50+ kids yet to be accounted for :)

A 'We Spy Fiji' rep interviewed youths from Rewa Street, Suva, and Ra. An interesting perspective they shared this Independence Day was that Fiji should have a non-military leader in next election. Innovative Young Leaders!
How many of you agree with them?
Happy Fiji Day!

Oilei, first it was a gun stolen from the military, and now they've broken into the residence of the Commissioner of Fiji Corrections Service. It's all over social media – from cops involved in drug thefts to inter-marital scandals. Just talk to school teachers, and you'll hear about the growing number of hooligan students we're raising. If our security system doesn't step up and we don't invest more in digital surveillance, Fiji may not be a safe place by 2030.

A school teacher in Nukuloa, Ba wakes up at 4 a.m., prepares meals for her children, gets them to school, and then drives a long distance to teach in Ba Town. Many Fijians leave their homes as early as 6 a.m. from Ba, Nadi, or Nausori to reach their offices in the city by 8 a.m. But when they step out of the office for a tea or coffee break at 10 a.m. to relieve their fatigue, they see few nuisance lounging and napping on the city footpaths - so disturbing when one is working hard to contribute towards country's GDP, one not contributing is entertained at public places. What are our Police and City Council representatives doing about this?

The reason why many iTaukei kids/students are seen loitering on the streets isn’t necessarily about education, Hon Lynda Tabuya . It often stems from the behavior of their parents. Let’s consider a few examples: In Lautoka City, when residents need teens to help with compound work, they often head to Navutu Village, where many loiter. Who is to blame? The village lead and few parents out there. Look at ground opposite Garden City, where teens sit idle. Who is responsible? The parents in Raiwaqa area. As for Kadavu, when youth cause problems in the village and don’t improve, are they being sent to Suva or asked to leave the village? This issue also extends to school children, as some uneducated iTaukei parents are having 3 to 4 children. Same applies to few Indo-fijian parents being lenient on their kids. Does your government have a family care body to ensure these parents are properly caring for their babies, toddlers, and infants? Go out to schools and ask teachers about students behavior, no fear, no respect for teachers these days. Hang on, we just stated, no fear from kids to parents and teacher, did we recently heard someone stealing gun from Military? Hope the message is reaching you now :) Vinaka We Spy Fiji :)

Breaking News!

This situation in Fiji is getting out of hand. Taxi permits were either free or obtained for a minimal fee, and now the price for Prius car is less than $8k. So where is this $78k figure coming from? The same thing is happening with land sales, where prices are being set far above the actual valuation.

With Fiji facing challenges such as pardons to Prisioners, street brawls, robberies, and unstoppable school kid brawls, this might be an opportune moment for the Fiji Boxing Associations to begin visiting schools in search of potential fighters. :)

Make sure NO drug tests conducted straightaway, Fiji may do alarming record for drug positive cases :)

Lets start with QVS :)

Just a thought—rather than pleading with Speight to tell the truth, why not have his pardon revoked and return him to prison? Then, offer him a deal: reveal the truth in exchange for freedom. Given recent developments and a few days of freedom, he might be more willing to talk now.
Two things still NOT good about Speight are: 1. He didn't reveal the truth. 2. He never apologised to former PM Mr Chaudhary

23/09/2024

We Spy Fiji rep met an 84-year-old senior citizen from Tuvu, Lautoka, who shared his thoughts:

"Why are we even discussing Speight? All he did was set Fiji back by many years. He's not a threat anymore. Looking at his photos from then and now tells you enough. He’s going to spend the rest of his life with his grandkids, regretting the good days he lost while in prison. Let’s leave him in the past and move forward."
