Seven adventurers brave the Arctic's harshest realms: Svalbard lies about midway between the northern coast of Norway and the North Pole with 60% of the archipelago covered with glaciers.

For 40 days in relentless cold, the team covered the distance of 700km by ski, from Spitsbergen's southern tip to its icy northern frontier.

They benefited from the warmth of merino wool on their epic journey.
