Did you know what inspired artist for his mural at m3? Keep reading 👉🏻 “The NEW age of Voltaire. mural 1:
An honor and joy to travel to Geneva and create 2 murals in the lobby atrium of a hotel less than a mile from Voltaire’s castle. So of course I dedicated them both to the spirit of the Age of Enlightenment in sweeping line drawing wall and window murals capturing Voltaire and his crew as well as local the flora fauna and furniture of the 18th century. Shown here is one of my murals on a wall of windows looking out into the green foliage beyond. Embedded in the lace-like yellow screen of figuration are portraits of Marie Louise Mignot (aka Madame Denis), a niece (and secret lover!) of Voltaire and the famed local artist Jean Etienne Liotard. Surrounding the portraits is a vast display of plants and animals that are native to France and Switzerland. If you look carefully, you can see an Alpine Ibex, and Lynx, the Swiss national bird the Turaco, and its flower, the Edelweiss. I also added in a bit of creative fantasy for good measure, like a mythical beast that is half-deef, half-phoenix, a little frog riding a squirrel as well as my signature hands and teeth falderal.”
