We don't always see Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, but when we do, it's pure magic. This group performed particularly well for our clients and leaped out of the waves right in front of our kayaks. You cannot get closer to nature and marine wild life than on a kayak. We simply love our job.

Namibia was recently elected to the Executive Council of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the period 2023-2027.

In a message delivered by the Namibian to the General Assembly of the organization in Samarkand, Uzbekistan he stated that “In 2021, Namibia had the privilege of hosting the United Nations World Tourism Organisation Brand Africa Conference in Windhoek. The conference aimed to leverage the potential of tourism as a cross-cutting sector for inclusive development. In collaboration with United Nations World Tourism Organization, Namibia held the 5th edition of the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge, aimed to empower African youth aged 18 to 35 by providing business partnerships, market access, networking, mentorship platforms, and funding solutions. Moreover, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has provided significant support to Namibia’s efforts in developing heritage tourism and youth empowerment.

Therefore, the decision by Namibia to seek for a seat on the United Nations World Tourism Organization Executive Council for the 2023–2027 term is a continuation of our collaboration and a commitment to championing sustainable tourism development globally”.

🌍 **Celebrating the Beauty of Our Neighbors: Namibe, Angola**

Hello everyone! We've noticed a photo and video of the stunning Namibe, Angola circulating online, with many mistakenly believing it to be a scene from Namibia. We wanted to take a moment to appreciate and acknowledge this beautiful piece of Angola and give credit where it's truly due.

Namibia boasts its own breathtaking landscapes and wonders, some very similar, but we also believe in celebrating the beauty of our neighboring countries. Namibe, with its unique terrain and beauty, deserves its spotlight!

We would like to extend our appreciation to JessArtes / https://instagram.com/jessartes for capturing such a mesmerizing view of Namibe.

As much as we love the likes and shares that come with viral posts, it's equally important to us to share accurate information and foster a sense of unity and appreciation for all the African wonders.

Cheers to the magnificent landscapes of both Namibia and Angola! 🌄

An astronaut of the European Space Agency (ESA), Andreas Mogensen , has shared breathtaking photos of the Namib Desert in western Namibia captured from space.

His post on X (Previously Twitter) read "The rolling sand seas of the Namib desert along the coast of Namibia🇳🇦 It is perhaps the world’s oldest desert, stretching back 55-80 million years. A little inland of the sand dunes, is the Brukkaros Mountain 🗻Although it looks like a meteor crater when see from space, it is actually a caldera, about 4 km in diameter, that formed from an underground explosion when groundwater was superheated by rising magma 💥"

Step into the surreal landscape of Sossusvlei, where time stands still. The stark silhouettes of ancient, petrified trees contrast dramatically with the towering dunes of the Namib Desert, seen here in DeadVlei - a testament to life's resilience amidst harsh conditions. The dunes, tinged with the day's first or last light, weave a breathtaking canvas of warmth. Visit Sossusvlei - where nature paints the impossible.

Thank you Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism Namibia for making this the priority and an effort towards the rehabilitation of Sossusvlei after the damage. However the fact remains that we will not be able to fix all of it and it might take decades for all the track marks to disappear.

We would like to make a plea to all travelers again, to avoid driving through unmarked spots in the dunes and follow the rules.

🌍🦓 Spot the Stripes in the Sea of Wildebeest!

Hello, nature lovers and supporters of the Namibia Travel & Tourism Forum! We're bringing a fun challenge to you today. Hidden in this photograph of a bustling herd of wildebeests, there's a solitary zebra standing out with its unique stripes. Can you spot it?

But this isn't just a game of 'Where's Waldo?'. This photograph, taken in Kenya, beautifully illustrates the diverse cohabitation that takes place within our natural world. While wildebeest and zebras, which you encounter all across Namibia, may appear to be different, they share common habitats and often migrate together in search of food and water. Their coexistence is a testament to nature's harmony and balance.

So, take a moment, zoom in, look closer, and see if you can find our stripey friend! Once you've found it, let us know in the comments but don't give its location away - let's keep the fun going!

And remember, just as we respect the diversity and harmony in nature, let's maintain the same values when we visit these natural habitats.

🌍🌵 Protecting Our Natural Treasures: A Call to Responsible Tourism in Namibia

Recently, a deeply disturbing incident came to light that reminds us of the importance of our collective responsibility towards our environment. A scenic flight over the stunning Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert revealed tire tracks in a protected area, a clear violation of established rules and regulations and a threat to the fragile ecosystem.

We've released a statement expressing our concerns and reminding everyone of the importance of responsible tourism. We urge all visitors and locals alike to respect the rules, protect our natural habitats, and report any similar incidents.

To help spread awareness, we've also created an infographic, this handy guide details the do's and don'ts when visiting our country's pride, The Namib Desert. We hope it serves as a useful resource to promote sustainable and respectful tourism.

Please take a moment to read our statement and share this post with your networks. Together, we can ensure that the awe-inspiring beauty of Namibia and its rich biodiversity can be preserved for generations to come.
