In collaboration with Aker Solutions, we’re building a complete 100 kW direct ammonia fuel cell system at Ågotnes (SLB), just outside of Bergen.

Once finalized, the unit will be brought to the EnergyHouse at Stord, for rigorous testing towards maritime operations 🌊 The fuel cell unit will serve as a building block for larger ship installations, enabling ZeroEmission operations with green ammonia 🚢

We’re excited to share that we will demonstrate our first maritime LNG fuelled SOFC power system with fuel cell stacks from Ceres! 🚢

Just yesterday, our team gathered at the Energy House at Stord, marking the start of our large-scale test activities. Here, we'll be running extensive testing of our solid oxide fuel cells on LNG and ammonia ⚡️.

🎉Exciting news! Alma has been awarded up to 49 million NOK by Innovation Norway to develop technology that will enable zero-emission ocean-going vessels!

🌍The project will develop energy systems based on high-temperature solid oxide fuel cells for use in ships, contributing to the goal of 50% reduction of emissions in international shipping.

Awarded prestigious EU prize during Hydrogen Week – NCE Maritime CleanTech The ShipFC project won the «Best Outreach Award» during the EU Hydrogen Week in Brussels. The project, led by Maritime CleanTech, develops solutions for long-range zero-emission voyages.

Welcome home Hans Fredrik Kjellnes! After several days of sailing from Ishigaki to Manila, our Head of Products is now back in the office. He participated in Maritime Bergen's Back to the Future’ Maritime Leadership Course onboard the beautiful sailing ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl.

“It was great to get to know people from many different businesses and nationalities at a deeper level, through hands-on teamwork and leadership workshops in between the shifts. I have always enjoyed sailing, but it was a completely different and truly amazing experience to sail such a large ship - A once in a lifetime experience that has given me memories for life”, says Hans Fredrik.
