⚠️New chef chez Mokoloco⚠️

As of today we welcome our new resident chef . A familiar face in Paris following installations at several of our most visited restaurants and watering holes between and most recently . Isabel has sharpened her knives and cut her teath cooking in several cities internationally including Copenhagen, Mexico City and London . (Notable establishments including Flor and Bright) . A menu of Mediterranean inspired shared plates will be served at Mokoloco Tuesday to Saturday nights through the end of summer. Who better to prepare them than a future aspiring grove farmer of olives and citrus. 🫒🍋🌴🌴🌴
To accompany 🍷 natural wines that honor the freshness of Isabel’s cooking with saline, beachside, profiles classic to coastal France and Spain.

After a little over a year and a half with us is leaving the mokonuts/mokoloco family to take time off and pursue his own projects. We cannot thank him enough for the time and dedication he had put into both restaurants and we will miss him tremendously.

Who would have thought that our casual chat over a bowl of chapagetti in December 2022 would turn into this. Josh “giving us a hand” at mokonuts for a few months became one of our most flourishing collaborations. Josh was not just an employee who worked for us, he became a close friend. We wish him the best in his future endeavors and have no doubt that whatever he pursues, it will be met with all the success that his talent deserves.

Post Covid times have brought on new perspectives for many restaurateurs, chefs and cooks. Life in a kitchen is tough and demanding, it leaves very little for time spent with friends and family. Hence we decided that if we ever did other popups it had to be special and only with friends in the industry that we admire and love. It goes without saying that Gaby and Lalo are one of them. We asked them a year ago if they would host us at Maximo and they agreed without hesitating.
Moko and I have had a deep love and appreciation for Mexico, its culture, its people and of course its rich culinary heritage ever since we came here for the first time. Moko as an exchange student in the 90s and I much later as a chef 6 years ago.
The 4 days we spent at Maximo have strengthened this feeling and we cannot thank enough Gaby and Lalo for opening their door to us with such care, love and generousity. It was moreover an absolute privilege cooking with such a dedicated team of human beings. To all of you on this picture…thank you for making this an extraordinary and unforgettable moment for us.

Another four weeks to go before our annual vacation from August 4th until September 4th.

During the month of July we will be open for lunch only and private dinners. This means that regretfully we will no longer serve breakfast until we come back from vacation in September.

Kids are now home from school and keeping them busy and entertained this summer is our priority. This forces us unfortunately to take some time away from our regular operation.

Breakfast will be back on September 4th, and as a reminder we will take as usual walk ins only, no reservations. See you then!

Patxi will be cooking classic dishes from his native country of Venezuela. Before moving to London and cooking Patxi cooked for two years at in Chile.

This coming Sunday and Monday our friend George we will be cooking Ramen

George started making his own ramen 9 years ago after he returned home to london from a trip to Japan.

Soon after he was part of the opening team of in Copenhagen. George has been making and developing his own Tokyo style ramen ever since while working at London restaurants such as Black axe mangal and Bright. More recently he spent time in Paris working .

George’s ramen which is based on local produce prepared with Japanese sensibilities is a unique take on modern ramen.

So expect deliciousness and good vibes!

No reservations and walk ins only!

We are pleased to announce that we are (finally!!!) hosting our friends from .berlin for a special dinner at Mokoloco on Tuesday September 13th.

We cooked with them in Berlin three years ago and had so much fun, and because of Covid and other matters had to wait this long to finally organize this in Paris!

For this event, the entire team from Ernst will take over the restaurant for one night only.
We will have a 7pm seating and a 9pm seating.

7 course tasting menu for 95 euros per head, drinks not included.

Also for those of you who won’t be able to make it to this special night or want to know more about Ernst, Dylan and Spencer will appear on stage at the food festival Monday sept 12th at 11:30am.

For those of you who have not tried his delicious take on Jewish North African cuisine yet, this your last chance!

Mokoloco will then close in August and will reopen its doors on August 31st for dinner with a new chef resident. Stay tuned!

Finally made it to .paris! So happy to see Erica cook out delicious food in her new home. Erica was resident chef at a few months back. And the best thing is that she is only a few minutes away from Mokonuts!

Reyna is open for dinner only Wednesday to Saturday. Reservations highly recommended!
She also does brunch on Sundays
