Our Spring Programming season ended with a bang! Did you make it to our last three events of the season?

On June 25, the Library hosted legendary filmmaker Claire Denis for an evening of conversation with Visiting Fellow Adam Shatz.

On June 26, we joined Visiting Fellow Adam Shatz and writer Jake Lamar in mapping out jazz's transatlantic journeys from the 20th century to today.

On June27, Visiting Fellow Christian Campbell and Curator Claire Tancons explored the poetics and politics of movement in the Black Diaspora through language, gesture, and migration.

Congratulations to LIBERTY EQUALITY FASHION: THE WOMEN WHO STYLED THE FRENCH REVOLUTION by Anne Higonnet, one of the ten longlisted titles for this year’s Book Award.

The name of the LibraryPass app (where you can access digital comics and graphic novels for all ages through your Library membership) is officially changing to Comics Plus, starting today.

If you use this app, you don't need to do anything—the change will automatically go live today.

📚 2024 AMERICAN LIBRARY IN PARIS BOOK AWARD LONGLIST 📚

For ten weeks this summer, we’ll be celebrating the ten titles selected for the longlist of the American Library in Paris’s Book Award.

Today, we’re showcasing HOUSE OF LILIES: THE DYNASTY THAT MADE MEDIEVAL FRANCE by Justine Firnhaber-Baker.

This is a fully immersive, wonderfully fluid and engaging popular history of the medieval Capetian dynasty in France.

All longlisted books are available for check-out members and make for perfect summer reading!

On 6 June 2024, more than 265 Library friends convened at the Automobile Club de France for a joyous evening in support of the American Library in Paris. Guest of Honor Maureen Dowd entertained us with her anecdotes of US Presidents, and gave an emotional tribute to D-Day. Thanks to the generosity of our community, this was one of our most successful Galas in our 104-year history, raising over 300,000€ for the Library's collections, programs, and services.
