As the Paralympic Games opened in Paris, l’Institut Français de la Mode is proud to highlight the talent and creativity of the young designers who contributed to this global event.

For the Olympic Games opening ceremony on July 26, 2024, there were several IFM alumni whose looks were worn during various performances.

We congratulate them on this extraordinary opportunity that reflects their talent and impact on the fashion world. Bravo to all for this historic moment! 👏

Last Thursday, the six contributing projects developed by IFM students as part of the IFM-Kering Fashion Sustainability Certificate headed by IFM-Kering Sustainability Director Professor Andree-Anne Lemieux were presented to a jury of fashion industry experts and leaders of partner associations.

L’IFM a appris la disparition de Patrick Hierf avec beaucoup d’émotion. Ses collègues de l’ex Ecole de la chambre syndicale de la couture parisienne, les étudiants qu’il a accompagnés durant de nombreuses années dans différents programmes gardent de lui une image forte d’un enseignant investi et passionné, d’un homme attachant et sincère. La communauté IFM s’associe à la peine de ses proches.

IFM’s Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design of Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) opened Paris Fashion Week® on 20 June 2023 with a showcase of their final collections. The show took place on the IFM campus and brought together 38 collections, each composed of 6 looks. The students who presented their work have been selected on the basis of coherence, technical level and quality of the creative proposal by a jury of professionals among the 67 final-year Bachelor students, all of whom have produced a graduate collection. The Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design welcomes a total of 250 students over 3 years, 46% of whom are international students. It prepares students to start their careers or to continue their studies at Master's level.

IFM’s Master of Arts opened PFW® on 27 february 2023
Once again, IFM opened Paris Fashion Week® Fall-Winter 2023 with its MA Fashion Design Graduate Show, for the first time in the form of a physical show on the IFM campus. It presented the collections of 25 students of the Master of Arts in Fashion Design and Knitwear Design.

MA Knitwear x Alexander McQueen

Conclusion of the collaboration between Alexander McQueen and IFM's Master of Arts students in Knitwear Design: the 10 MA students presented their collection in London.

The project included the interpretation of the McQueen heritage, a personal view on today's biodiversity issues, innovation with sustainable materials, a full lineup and a final silhouette look developed by the students in their IFM knit-room.
