The essence of summertime over the years. It is the shortest season, especially when compared to winter. The perfect time for creating memories.
After much consideration, I have decided on my summer fragrance. It was a gift to myself last summer while in Florence: « Bizzarria ». It encompasses the majority of my memories connected to the happiness of summertime.
I looked to Paros of the Cyclades in the Aegean; to Lecce in Puglia - Italy’s shared Adriatic and Ionian coastline; and to the hilly jewels of Ramatuelle and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, along France’s sparkling Côte d’Azur. Toss in the rocky calanques of Piana, Corsica, and then savor the perfumes and scents from wild southern foliage, disbursed upon the rays of a scorching summer sun. Later, calls for aperitifs in the cool shade and breezes of late afternoon begin, and a cocktail hour extends lazily into an evening meal on the terrace or in the sheltered verdancy of the garden. The intimacy of easy conversation lingers on the air like candle smoke, as tiny, golden flames illuminate glasses refilled for just one more digestif... Ah, the tranquil joys of summer.
