Tonight great event at the cité de l’Architecture et du patrimoine. The crits Isabelle Regnier ( Le Monde ) Sophie Trelcat ( Archistorm, Inrockuptibles ) Philippe Tretiak ( Beaux arts magazine ) Richard Scoffier ( Arsenal, Prof. Val de Seine ) and Francis Rambert ( Director Cité de l’Architecture Chaillot ) will debate on the Rendez vous Critiques ! About some subjects of actuality like the French Venice Biennale Pavillon of Muoto and the great Georgi Stanichev. And about the Latitude 44 one of my last building around the idea of second life buildings, esthetics and relation with patrimonial modern heritage ! Hope a great moment for all 🥨 !

A line of glass cuts the hill slope and embed a Roman patio villa in the hill, suggesting a new typology of classical "hôtel particulier" with a dissymetrical singular column.

The nerve center of circulation of public networks in the hyper center
Is run under a outdated donut… Pascale FARES a brillant Lebanese young architect did this incredible clever collage to transform in a multi colored public space this functional busy crossroad. The rose window of the Cathedral is the multi colored filter that take place on the existing and that is projected on the floor by the solar radiation.
History, art and crafts, are summoned to give sense and pleasure in that wild undefined misery of generic public space. We developed the idea and propose it for the millenar of the founding of the cathedral. The whole city was enthousiast and nothing happened! They even asked me if I had a financial plan ! If you have a good idea. You have to pay for it ! It’s a new religion ! I paid all the project studies on technical and creative design and calculations. At the end I should pay for the whole… I am afraid… specially when you see so much money throws outdoor for bu****it … what is the real price of beauty? I frequently think to Filippo Lippi…

We were renewing the last building of the cité Rotterdam where I am born and lived 14 years as primo habitant with very low budget when the city state decided to stop the in course process and demolish the 11 floors building with external coursives. The cité Rotterdam is part of the historical patrimony of social housing in France. It is the first time that the sentence "Grand ensemble" have been used because 900 apartments will have been build in one operation, feeturing industrial production in architecture with prefab concrete and high tech comfort like slab heating and through housing typologies with integrated cupboards and flat pass . Eugene Beaudoin Grand Prix de Rome won against Le Corbusier 3rd and André Lurçat 2nd with the concept “ build a cité around a parc “. I couldn’t afford to accept sutch a stupid décision, did a project on my own and went to convince promoters to still get money out of a social block and be aware with my teaching on circular economy and second life in architecture still experimented with the rock palast, the docks and some others adventures. Only one investor accepted after a 18 months struggle. For recognition the city decided to organize a competition… I won by miracle with the worst concept I’ve never invent with cynismus. The “ balnéaire Rhénan “ … a must now in Alsace. This hercule work took 40% of the budget to accord to new seismic and thermic rooles like the Docks. But : La beauté guérit.

A real pleasure for materials and colors in decoration when you can achieve your obsessions and inspirations. Here a mix of 30’s decorative art and Soviet kitch memories. I will detail that nice adventure later . But they destroyed everything last year to renew in the worst hugely commun style of bad taste and I don’t give a s**t attitude. The place was a pride of the old crew of the gaz employees! And now a shame ! I’m going to shut up the name of the architect…
