Our small herd of pedigree Bazadaise cattle is run along side a small commercial herd, using Bazadaise bulls on all cows and heifers.
We wanted a breed that was easy calving with calves born small but which grew quickly into shapely, muscly beef animals.

Another little nipper born night before last, can't be more than 40kgs. This is why Bazadaise are known for easy calving. This is why I chose Bazadaise. Within a month she will look like a different calf when the muscling develops. The mum is sired by Baz AI bull, Cesar, out of a Baz/Lim cross cow.

Update on Hardhillock Ola - she calved on 2nd December, a heifer calf, Hardhillock Ria. Calf tagged and weighed today - 42.5 kgs, just right for a Bazadaise.
Ola and Ria are Lot 32 in ANM Group's ONLINE Sale of Pedigree Female Cattle on Tuesday 8th December at 6pm.
