We will be there Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm. 🦝🦝

It's World Cocktail Day, and this year there has been a big focus on ways we can make mixology more sustainable. We have posted three cocktails in the lead up to today which introduce our sustainable, food waste fighting, wines into your cocktail menu. 🍸

🌟BINDERELLA🌟 Mother of scavengers, protector of the bins 🦝🦝

This Mother's Day, we are celebrating the true surplus goddess, the one and only Binderella 🪄🍌

🎶Many songs have been written about Binderella, originating from the coast of Montrose by fellow raccoons. She is believed to have superpowers, such as helping you find avocados in the bin if you ask her nicely 🥑

🎨There are only a few artefacts left in the Scottish wilderness depicting our bin-diving guardian angel, but we managed to catch a quick glimpse of the gorgeous work by , who managed to distill the essence of what Binderella is really about 🍒🙌🥭

TWO RACCOONS ARE EXPANDING 🦝🦝

Finally, we can tell you our big plans for 2023 🥳 We are setting up our new winery in Glasgow!

Glasgow is home to most of Scotland's fruit surplus, and to prevent as much waste as possible and reduce transport CO2 emissions, we have decided to expand our wine production to Glasgow.

We are SO excited to showcase a bunch of new flavours using all of the surplus we are now able to scavenge in the underground city of traffic cones and rabbit holes 🚨🐰

So what will this mean to our winery in Aberdeen? As we are only a small raccoon family, we will temporarily put this on hold for now to put all of our effort into our new space in Glasgow. But we hope to be able to open up again as quickly as possible once we've rummaged for more extravagant surplus 🍒🫐🍌

In the meantime, you can still find your favourite raccoon wines at our Aberdeen retailers and on your doorstep through our website. But expect some mad flavours stocked there soon! 🥂😋

We love our fellow raccoon community, and we're excited to share all of the new projects and experiments with you 💛

AWARD SHOW THROWBACK

We had a brill time at the Excellence Awards last month 🍷🌟

Being shortlisted for the Sustainability Award after just 1 year of operating means a lot to these Two Raccoons 🦝🦝

Although we didn't win, we had a lot of people pulling our fluffy tails and had some amazing conversations about tackling waste in the food and drink industry.

Good news on a Friday! 🥳🦝

University innovators in running for share of £300k prize in business creation competition | News | The University of Aberdeen University of Aberdeen student and alumni entrepreneurs are set to go head-to-head with other innovators for a share of a £300k prize in a prestigious company start-up programme.

Happy Zero Emissions Day 🌍

While our footprint is not zero, our main ingredient is!
We save fruit surplus from being wasted, to make our award-winning wines.

✅️ Plastic-free
✅️ Fighting food waste
✅️1/3 of the CO2 emissions of your regular wine

CO2 emissions are a pain to make heads or tails of 🦝🦧
But we have crunched the numbers and found that our wines emit 0.5kg CO2 per bottle 👻

While this might sound like a lot, it's actually the lowest CO2 footprint of any bottle of wine out there. Most are 1.5kg CO2 or above 🤯😳

SO HOW ARE YOU CARBON-NEGATIVE? 🤔

From this footprint, we can figure out exactly how much CO2 our wines emit. While this is already really low, we double offset amount of CO2 through , who restore wastelands in Aberdeenshire to create biodiverse meadows. Check em out! 🦝🌱🦋

Our biggest CO2 bu**er is our glass bottles. Although fully recyclable, they use a lot of energy to produce and remould.

To lower our CO2 emissions further, we can do refilling stations so you can bring your own bottles to fill!

Well look no further! If you are based in Aberdeen or happen to swing by the Granite City, you can drop off your empty Two Raccoons bottles at or and get 20p back! 🌍💛

We have had bottle deposits since the dawn of Two Raccoons, but might as well be good to highlight it for so we can get some more bottles back and fill 'em with delicious fruit loot once again 🍌🍉🍍🍓🫐

Did you know that our glass bottles actually account for most of our CO2 emissions? If we reuse a bottle once, we can lower out footprint by 30%!

SURPLUS SHENANIGANS 🦝🦝

Last week we went down to visit Ali at Locavore to pick up some surplus shizzle!
We talkin' 400kg of almonds 🐿 and rice 🌱, the true staples of a locavore 👌

We had a blast, especially Lasse because Elliott might have found his Scottish doppelgänger in Ali, a fellow winemaker 🐾
Can you tell the difference? We added glasses just to make it harder for y'all 🥸😎

Who knows what we gonna make from these goodies? Amaretto, Sicilian almond wine, almond milk? Any suggestions, leave them in the comments 🤫

GREAT TASTE WINNER 🥳

We already knew it was tasty, but now there's been some fancy wine folks tasting our blackcurrant wine 🍷

They described it as having an "attractive mid garnet in hue with a hint of purple 🫐" as well as a "clean nose 👃, with a hedgerow base 🌿 and ye**ty backnotes".
In raccoon language, this means that you should try it out 😉
