The death of a loved one or the loss of anything significant in your life (a pet, a relationship, even a job). You may feel lost and full of conflicting emotions - anger, grief, hopelessness. You may not want to talk with friends and family; nobody can tell you what to expect and how to cope. Nobody can replace what you have lost, but having somebody to talk to at such times can be comforting.

A reminder for the progress you may perceive, Improvement (in self development, recovery, physical and emotional healing) may feel differently from person to person and may be varied in different times. These are what progress may look and feel like (and perhaps many other ways). The most important thing to remember is that you are getting there. 🩵

The mind-body connection is essential in therapy and our general well-being. Traumas are not only experienced in our minds but can be stored as somatic memories. Trauma-informed yoga is another approach I have studied and now included in my therapeutic work. It can help to enhance our mind-body connection, calm our nervous system, neutralise emotional and bodily reactions, and create a safe, supportive space for self-awareness and healing. These then bring us a sense of grounding as well as a healthy and balanced body and mind. Simply with breathing and gentle movements, it is a practice that anyone can benefit from. 🧘🏻♀️

Learn to observe your thoughts rather than always engaging with them 💙
