That was lush, so relaxing.
‘Please don’t mind me if I fall asleep it’s been a really busy week’

I have some clients struggling at the moment feeling totally overwhelmed.
We have talked about the following and its importance.
NO is a powerful word.
Don’t be afraid to use it at work or home when you start feeling overwhelmed.
Or when you are feeling the pressure to do something you don’t want to do. Or if you feel uncomfortable.
Once you get into the habit of saying no you will learn that it’s okay and will start to use it more often.

Why do women have cold feet?
I frequently have this conversation with clients. How their feet are always cold, especially under the age of 40. Sometimes their hands too.
There can be good reasons for this. People often don’t realise the circulatory system of a female is different to that of a male. Women’s circulation is centred around the female reproductive organs, thereby leaving the extremities, such as the hands and feet, feeling colder as the blood supply in these areas is reduced. They will often say their partner's feet are lovely and warm whilst theirs are not.
Our feet are subject to the ageing process. The more we use them, the more we need to take care of them. With the reduction in blood supply, thinning of the skin takes place, which can result in dehydrated and cracked skin as the sweat glands reduce.
Quick home tips for cold feet
· Get plenty of exercise – this helps to improve circulation of the feet.
· Drink plenty of water, good for hydration.
· Don’t allow feet to get cold – wear warm socks that are well fitting but not too tight. Or they will restrict movement and circulation.
· Do use a foot moisturiser daily.
Such lovely feedback.
I don't know if you'd remember me but you gave me lots of reflexology while I was going through a really horrible time and struggling with infertility.
You made the biggest difference, helped me relax, provided an escape and were even a shoulder to cry on at times - thank you.
Amazingly, I got pregnant through my first round of IVF and had a gorgeous boy in 2019. I then ventured back to you in 2020 for a little relaxation treat for myself (and to escape a toddler). The same time as I visited you I (completely naturally) concieved another boy as the most wonderful suprise. I then ended up with two under two - hence the lack of contract - but I just wanted to say the biggest thank you for your part in this.
Thank you for listening and making me feel worthwhile.

Maternity Reflexology will give you time to switch off and unwind. Deep relaxation will help to reduce stress hormones which may help encourage your body to go into natural labour.
Research has shown Reflexology treatments in the later stages of Pregnancy may help reduce the duration of labour and the need for pain relief.

Self-care is important throughout the year, but November can be a particularly challenging month.
With the days shorter and the weather colder, it's important to prioritise taking care of yourself.
This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating nourishing foods, and staying active.
It's also important to make time for activities that you enjoy, whether that's reading a book, taking a bath, going for a run or spending time with loved ones.
Remember, taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's essential for your well-being and happiness.
What will you do to take care of yourself?

In the early days of qualifying as a reflexologist some of my first clients that came to see me wanted me to help them conceive a baby naturally.

I love receiving these messages - Went into labour at 12:30 and baby boy arrived 5:15am!!!!!!! You are the best!!!!
My client came to see me throughout her pregnancy. Having reflexology to help with niggles and acid reflux. She came to me on her due date eagerly awaiting her 3rd child. Let's be honest at this stage you are more than ready to go into labour!
There are no magic spots on the feet we can poke for you to go straight into labour. Babies come when they are ready.
However, we can prime the body to encourage it to do what it needs to do. I saw my client at 5pm before she went into labour. No indication labour was imminent at her appointment.
The peri-menopause and menopause can be a difficult for some. There are many different symptoms that women may experience. including hot flushes, low mood, weight gain, skin changes and sleeping difficulties.
Symptoms and the various changes taking place can affect, how you feel. From concentration at work, or difficulty completing daily tasks together with relationship issues.
Contact your GP to help with ongoing symptoms. There are options available which can help you.
Reflexology can be a great relaxing treatment to have during this time.
For the past 20 years I have treated and supported many of my clients going through these stages. Providing a cosy space for them to talk and release stress. They say how much they look forward to their treatment and a good night’s sleep afterwards.
Brrrrr woolly jumper time. Don’t forget to keep your feet warm too!
The menopause can be a difficult time for many.
There is so much information out there clients say how overwhelmed they feel by it.
But it doesn’t have to be doom and gloom for everyone.
❤️ no more periods 🙌
❤️ perimenopause ends, PMT symptoms settle down
❤️ menstrual headaches may disappear
❤️ your confidence and wisdom grow
How does exercise affect your hormones?
Whatever age you are, exercise should be a regular part of your life.
Why?
Keeping active encourages the body to maintain strength, supporting our cardiovascular, immune, digestive, respiratory and other systems – including the endocrine/hormone system.
How does exercise affect your hormones and what kind of exercise is best for hormone balancing?
If you are experiencing hormonal imbalance linked to PCOS, endometriosis, menopause or andropause. Between reflexology treatments exercise can be beneficial to improve your hormone balance.
The Best Forms Of Exercise For Hormone Balancing?
Any form of exercise that suits your physical ability will help you have better hormone function.
Walking
Running
Weight training
Yoga
Swimming
HIIT
What Happens If You Don't Exercise?
By not exercising you can end up with a sedentary lifestyle. This can encourage weight gain, impacting hormone function. Often leading to an unhealthy diet. Which all becomes a vicious circle.
Exercise is not the only answer when it comes to hormone balancing. It needs to be a part of helping to improve your overall well-being.

Thought I would share with you how I became a reflexologist. 👣
I was commuting and working in London as a PA before we had our family. We decided to move to Oxfordshire where we had 3 young children. Life was very full on, busy with zero time for myself.
I had been suffering from PMS for some time but it was getting worse. It made me feel pretty miserable for 3 weeks of the month. So I went to see my male GP who said I would have to learn to live with it, not very helpful!
Attending swimming lessons with the kids I got chatting to a mum who turned out to be a therapist. I asked her if there was anything she could do to help me. She suggested reflexology and gave me her business card.
I decided to give it a go and booked an appointment as I was really fed up with feeling tired, worn out and miserable.
After my first treatment I felt so much better. Giving me some time out for myself to relax. I felt like I was walking on air afterwards. Much to my amazement my sleep improved, my headaches reduced and the breast tenderness improved. I decided to have a course of treatments and was so impressed with the therapy I decided to train as a reflexologist.
Off I went and studied for a year and have been qualified for nearly 20 years. Specialising in Women’s Health working with Maternity, Fertility, and Hormones. I am extremely passionate about the power of holistic therapies helping to relieve stress and help with overall wellbeing.
I really enjoy working with client’s helping them feel better.
Reflexology is a complementary medicine where pressure is applied to specific points on the feet, hands, face or ears. The pressure helps to stimulate nerve endings and can have a range of positive effects on the body and mind.
Here are some tips for reflexology:
If you're interested in trying reflexology, it's important to find a qualified practitioner. Look for someone who is certified by a reputable organisation and has experience working with clients.
The feet are the most commonly worked area in reflexology. Each foot has more than 7,000 nerve endings, by applying pressure to specific points may help to relieve tension and promote relaxation throughout the body.
When working on the feet, a trained reflexologist will know how much pressure to use based on your individual needs.
Reflexology is not always a quick fix. It often takes 3 or 4 sessions to achieve the desired results. Be patient and stick with it.
It's important to communicate with your reflexologist throughout your treatment. Let them know if you're experiencing any pain or discomfort.
A full consultation and time to discuss your concerns before we start helps us tailor the treatment to your needs.
Consistency is key to achieving our health/wellbeing goals.
Here are some ideas on how to be consistent:
💫 Set clear goals:
Decide what you're working towards. Eg. Eating healthier, daily exercise, time for yourself. Set clear and specific goals for yourself, break them down into smaller, manageable steps.
💫 Create a plan: Once you know what you want to do, create a plan of action. Decide the actions you need to take to achieve your goals. Eg. Cooking from scratch, daily walking, time to de-stress, make a schedule/time and follow it.
💫 Prioritise: Consistency requires you to make it a priority. Write down what it is you want to achieve? Why do you want to achieve it? It will help bring you closer to where you want to be.
💫 Eliminate distractions: Identify the things that distract you. Turn off notifications on your phone or computer, avoid social media during this time, and stay away from anything that might pull your attention away from what you are trying to achieve.
💫 Build healthy habits: Consistency becomes easier when you turn positive actions into habits. It has to become like cleaning your teeth, you just do it.
💫 Track your progress: Tracking your progress it's a good way to see how far you've come. Celebrate your successes and use any setbacks as opportunities to learn from. We all fall off the wagon, get back on it as you can.
💫 Stay motivated: Consistency requires motivation. Find sources of motivation that work for you. It could be inspirational quotes, listening to music, or visualising your success.
Remember, consistency takes time and effort, but the results are worth it.
