It's been over a year since my last post, and nearly a year since a very abrupt and unexpected return to nursing which ultimately led to me putting the brakes on my tiny crystal business.

In the last year our family has gone through quite a lot, including a house move. Packing up my stock and office took me ages as I couldn't stop admiring the little beauties 🔮 🤣!

My hope is that in the coming months I can relaunch the website with a select range of crystals and jewellery.

I now have the task of removing all the bots and spam so I can find all the amazing business women I met online last year 🥰 if you see this, pop up and say hello 🤍🤍

What are you doing to help yourself prepare for the busy week ahead?

Mine is the usual bubble bath whilst the baby naps, hair wash with my favourite shampoo and face mask.

I really suffer with sinus headaches so I have been putting my rose quartz face roller in the fridge so its beautifully cold on my face when I need it to ease the pain 😍

I am mama to a very boisterous and happy 16 month old little boy, a 4 year old cockapoo and have been with my husband for 8 years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I'm a qualified NICU nurse and currently making the most of a career break from the NHS by learning as much about business as I can!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Druzy Collective was formed last year, mid pandemic, out of pure love for ethically sourced crystals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We try to be as eco as we can be, by reusing packing from our suppliers (including paper and bubble wrap), using recycled paper stickers, tissue paper, tape and stamps. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

(and if you saw my story in the week 🤣 i now have a years supply of biodegrable packing nuts and bubble wrap lol)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So, tell me a bit about you?..

Let me tell you a little bit about how I got into crystals..

At the age of 16, I got a job in a jewellers where I learnt about gems, diamonds and watches. I absolutely loved the gems and diamonds and would leap at the chance to work on that side of the shop, rather than watch side!

One of my first purchases from the shop was an oval Rose Quartz ring with a tiny garnet on the underside. I am pretty sure it was a thumb ring but it fit perfectly on my first finger of my left hand and there it stayed for a few years.

Fast forward nearly 14 years later and I was a new mum, at the height of the pandemic, feeling awful guilt that I wasn't at work (in a hospital), and struggling with absolutely horrendous post natal depression and anxiety.

I was trying everything to try and hold on to some sanity, and I followed the advice of my therapist to try some meditation (highly recommend by the way!). I had dabbled before, so off I went back to my Headspace App and tried again.

On one of my worst days, I grabbed one of my rose quartz tumble stones to hold *squeeze* during meditation because I wanted more than anything to stop hating myself so much. Well, you know, I am a woman of science and I cannot explain the difference it made to my practise! But my love was reignited for crystals.

There is no right way to pick one, use them, display them. You don't need to believe in crystal healing, you can literally JUST think they are wonderful to look at and its amazing that the earth grew them!

I have always loved how beautiful they are and really appreciate how intricate they are. Anything else to me.. well that's a bonus really.
