Happy Easter Weekend!!! I hope you are all looking forward to a long weekend, what have you all got planned?

Its finally Spring!!! Time to start thinking about our toes being on show again, a relaxing pedicure may be just what the doctor ordered!!!

Throughout 2024 we have decided to have seasonal Eve Taylor facials on offer. So for Spring we couldn't think of a more suited facial than the Eve Taylor Target+ Quench facial.
This facial is an ultra hydrating facial that uses ultrasonic Micro - therapy to drive hydrator into your skin which is much needed after the cold, harsh winter months have dried your skin out. So we have just under a month of winter left and I am looking forward to the nicer weather and getting out more, however I do love the cosy winter months and binge watching t.v series. So has anybody got any must watches to recommend to me before I need to begin venturing outside again 😂😂

Following on from my aim to be more present on social media I have decided to use this opportunity to introduce some of our products within the salon and why I believe they have a place in your skin care regime. So this month "Hero" product is the Eve Taylors Hydrating serum. I can personally vouch for this product which I use at least once a day. Hydrating serum is an ultra - light serum with Hyaloronic Acid to hydrate all skin types and conditions. The main benefits of Hydrating serum is that it plumps and hydrates the skin smoothing fine lines and softening wrinkles, it also softens skins texture leaving skin silky smooth and thoroughly hydrated. Oh how true is that!! Wouldn't have it any other way though nail art is my absolute favourite!!

After a very wet and mild autumn the colder nights are now upon us so I felt like this would be an ideal time to look at how to keep our skin hydrated over the coming months. Cold weather can be harsh on our skin which can lead to issues such as dryness, flakiness and sensitivity. So here are a couple of my top tips that will help to keep skin dehydration at bay this winter.
- Hydration is key - cold air tends to be dry and can sap moisture from your skin. By using a hydrating and nourishing moisturiser you can keep your skin hydrated. Remember it's not only your face that is facing the elements, your hands and nails will also be suffering.
- Gentle cleansing - opt for a gentle, hydrating cleanser that won't strip your skin of its natural oils. Avoid hot water, as it can contribute to dryness. Lukewarm water is gentler on the skin.
- Sun protection is still important - even during cold weather UV rays can damage your skin. So even in these colder and slightly darker days make sure you are using at least an SPF30 on exposed areas like your face and your hands.
- Lip care - Lups can become dry and chapped during cold weather. Using a nourishing lip balm with ingredients like shea butter or coconut oil to keep your lips moisturised.
- Stay hydrated - Drinking enough water is essential for overall skin health. Even though you might not feel as thirsty in the cold weather its important to make a conscious effort to stay hydrated.

In November myself and Carol attended some very exciting training and we are delighted to announce we will be introducing dermaplaning to our treatment menu.
Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment using a medical grade blade to remove vellus hair and dead skin cells from the surface of your skin which in turn offers a deep exfoliation for your face. Dermaplaning has minimal downtime after your treatment and leaves you with glowing and radiant skin.
The main benefits of this treatment is that it increases the absorption of your skin care products by up to 80%, it also improves the application of make - up offering a flawless finish.
We recommend that you have a treatment every 4 weeks for optimal results however dermaplaning also offers amazing results as a stand alone treatment.

Good evening I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New year and enjoyed some quality time with family and friends, I know we certainly did!!
2024 is beginning slightly differently for us, unfortunately we said goodbye to Mia on the 28th December as she follows her dreams to work with animals, we wish her every success for the future and hope she thoroughly enjoys her new career. Due to it now being only Carol and Tara in the salon we are advising appointments to be booked in advance especially if you require evening or weekends as they are proving to be very popular for January and February. If you need to book any appointments please just send a message or text and we will organise getting those booked for you.
So has anybody set any new years resolutions for 2024? I'm not normally one to set them as the pressure just leads to me failing however this year I have decided to pick a couple of positive changes instead.
