SUMMER TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Sunday 8th September @10:30 - 13:30, Oving Tennis Club

We're holding our Summer Fun Tournament on Sunday 8th September. All members (adults and teenagers) are welcome to take part regardless of ability as you will play a few games with a variety of partners in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The tournament will run from 10.30am to around 1.00pm and prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up.

Numbers will be limited to 16 so please get your name down early!

As many of you will know last year we ran adult coaching sessions in February and March, they were very popular and led to several people becoming regulars at club sessions and a significant improvement in the general level of play and a lot of fun.

We would like to do something similar this year so you are at your best when the new season begins. If there is demand we will begin another series on Monday 20 February for 6 weeks to the 27 March to take us up to the Easter holidays, with a group at 6.30 and another at 7.30. This will be open to players of all standards from beginners upwards. The charge will be £40 for members who commit to all six or £8 a week if you can’t make them all. If you have non-member friends you would like to bring along the charge would be £50 for those who commit to all six weeks or £10 a week if they can’t make them all. From last year’s experience the group size should be 5-8 in each session.

We can only run the sessions if there is sufficient demand so please let Peter Docwra know by 10 February if you are interested on [email protected]. Please say if you have a preferred time or if you don’t mind which session you attend. We also need to know if you want to do all the sessions or, if only some of them, how many of the six you want to attend. Please try to reply by 10 February so we can begin on 20 February.
