Happy Christmas everyone! Here’s a few snaps from last week when it was chilly but so pretty.
Thanks to for showing some of my paintings this festive season.
Check out how relaxed and happy the seal looks basking amongst it all!
More photos from the . Grateful to have been invited to take part in this well established show.
My Grandad came from nearby Wheathampstead and we used to visit this area a lot growing up. He loved to show us the places he visited and he had a real connection to the area. I know he would have been very proud that I was taking part in this exhibition. It’s also prompted me to make visits to the area, which I hadn’t done for years. And so it’s been really fun showing my own children the places he showed us.
Getting ready for the Ayot St Lawrence Art Show being held at the beautiful Palladian Church, Sat 18th- 20th June.
A small study of the river Lea at Wheathampstead for the in Ayot St Lawrence.
I have a lot of family history in Wheathampstead and haven’t been there for years so it was great to go and have an explore and paint a local scene.
I really appreciated being featured in the brochure thank you .hill.583
Summer in the flower meadow found a new home too 🌞
What a great weekend - the sun shone, the crowds turned out and we sold lots of work, raising money for the school in the process. A couple of my paintings also found new homes too. Art on the Hill is back!
‘Gathering Dusk’ in its frame ready for in Brill this weekend. As you can see it’s feeling very smart and excited 🌟
Getting ready for in Brill this weekend. Really pleased with how this painting, January Twilight looks in its new frame from
Last summer’s lavender. Can’t wait to see it again, I’m so ready for it!
Art on the Hill is nearly here! I’ll be showing some work at this pop up exhibition in Brill 26-27th March. It’s great that’s it’s back after 3 years away. I’m also ‘helping’ to organise this one which has given me a better insight into the enormous amount of work and organisation that goes into putting on an event like this!
Change of scenery
Still a work in progress, but progress being made. I started this before Xmas and have just come back to it feeling fresher having let it rest.
Happy Solstice! Here’s an icy bowl lit up with a candle to celebrate!
The Christmas fair is on today and tomorrow at The Beaconsfield tennis centre. It looks and smells amazing and has made me feel very Christmassy. Grateful to have sold a painting last night and so nice to meet some of the other artists today and talk about art! Work here by .art

The last leaves of this Autumnal mellow-ness seem to be disappearing almost overnight, but here is a final pop of it - oil on board 25x25cm.
Thank you it’s been a real privilege to be part of the exhibition this year. Also thanks to for hosting my paintings, it’s been great to have my work on display in such a lovely spot.
And to prove it was me in fatface earlier, here I am with palette! I don’t think it’s too obvious I rarely take selfies…will get painting in next time!
Close up of ‘Wednesday Evening’ in the window for . Reflected in the top left is the Birdcage pub which dates from the 12th century. Used at one time for housing Napoleonic prisoners but also reputedly haunted by a l***r who was stoned by the good people of Thame. If they’re looking out the window I hope they enjoy the display 👻
