Cheeky Minx Crochet

Morning all! Thanks for dropping by my page. I'll soon be uploading details of various crochet items that can be made to order. I'm currently working on a tank top (yes, you read that right!) for our upcoming night at the Barsteward Sons of Val Doonican gig. Google them, they're awesome!!

Did someone say it's not long until Christmas? Well it's never too soon to start thinking about unique, hand-crafted gifts for those we love! And for the lady who loves her straighteners, what could be better than this insulated case. The two internal pockets keep the cable away from the hot plates, and the Insul-Brite filling means that they can be put away immediately after use, keeping them safely away from curious little fingers, or absent minded big ones! Cases have popper fastening to stop the straighteners from sliding out of the case, and ribbons to keep the case closed. I have a selection of phrases which can be embroidered on the case, and of course each case can be personalised with a name if required at just £3 extra.
Cases are £25, which includes first class postage.

Hello everyone! Well September is here and schools are back, and hopefully things will start to get back to a semblance of normal. Don't forget to order face masks for your secondary age children, most schools are expecting students to wear them on school transport and in communal areas in school.I do plain black and plain navy and can even offer masks personalised with initials, more on that to come so stay alert!

I have also had a number of people contact me to say that the pipe cleaner nose piece had snapped. Now this has only happened to a small number of people but I searched for a better alternative and so all masks made after 10th August have been fitted with an aluminium strip. This is sturdier, but will still break if constantly folded in half and opened. Any metal will react the same way, so it is important that masks are not folded in this way.

If you have any problem with snapping in masks purchased before 10th August, please contact me and I will replace the damaged strip with a new one.

Afternoon all! Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely sunny weather! Remember, you need to change your mask once it has become damp as it becomes less effective. Always keep a spare in your bag! Try not to fold your masks in two, as repeatedly doing this will weaken the nose strip which can then break.

Hello lovely people!
I'm going to be taking a few days away from the sewing machine, hopefully sunning myself at the seaside! 🏖🏊‍♀️🍹Fear not, I shall still be taking orders for masks, but I won't be back at the machine until Sunday 9th August, therefore any orders placed this week will be made and posted on either Sunday 9th or Monday 10th August.

REMEMBRANCE POPPIES

Come November we'll all probably still need masks, so ahead of this time and before it sells out, I've obtained suitable material in which to pay our respects. This is a very important time for myself and partner as we are both ex-service.

Material is either red poppies on white or black background.

As a result we will be charging £7 for each of our poppy face coverings - with £2 from each sale being donated to the Royal British Legion

We both want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your custom over the past weeks, it's been a pleasure making face coverings for you and we hope that they help keep you and your loved ones safe and confident whilst shopping or in other settings.

Having seen the extortionate prices on some websites for similar coverings, we set out to produce coverings at a reasonable price in material that really appealed to the wearer, with the belief that everyone wearing these coverings will be helping in protecting each other.

If your friends and relatives start complaining about how uncomfortable their disposable or other masks are, then please point them in our direction!

MONDAY UPDATE

Thank you for all your orders. After a hectic weekend of sewing we are up to date on all orders and any new orders should be fulfilled within 48 hours (often much sooner!).

Any local delivery orders agreed to by 9am on Thursday morning WILL be with you by 9am Friday morning. We know that Friday is an important date when you will need them to enter shops. However, masks will continue to be made on demand until the foreseeable future, so if you're ahppy with your mask please spread the word :-)

WEDNESDAY FACE COVERINGS UPDATE
As you can imagine with the government announcement, the demand for face coverings has increased rapidly! Therefore if you are wishing to order any please note the following:

There is now a 2 day turnaround from order for them to be ready for delivery/collection. I am sending them all out 1st class post to get them to you asap. These timelines may extend due to demand but I will not take any orders that I cannot get to you by the 24th, unless you tell me that is okay. I know this is the date we all need them for shopping!

When ordering:
- let me know the number required and sizes (generally large for men, medium for women and over 8's, small for under 8's)
- let me know your preferred material. To do this give me a brief description of the material plus its photo number that you will find in the comments box. Masks can be made from the materials in general photos, the mask fabric album and the hat fabric album (NOTE: I may have to come back to you as I'm making it if your initial choice is out of stock. As a sole worker I can't do detailed stock control as I go along and getting resupply of the same fabrics is now becoming extremely difficult)
- an address for delivery if required
- please be patient once you have messaged me, I am busy making masks and my partner is working/home-schooling a 7 year old! We will get back to you as soon as we can.
