We are thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone for Steve Flitney (unsurprisingly, that’s him in the photo, at the recent British Grand Prix). Steve, our Service Manager, has just reached 30 years of dedicated service at Alpeco. Over the past three decades, Steve has consistently demonstrated unparalleled expertise and commitment to excellence in the liquid handling industry.

Tom Morgan, our MD, had this to say: “Throughout Steve’s time with us, he has been an invaluable asset, not only in terms of technical proficiency but also in building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. His meticulous attention to detail has ensured that our service operations run smoothly and efficiently. And what a milestone 30 years is. Bravo, Mr Flitney!”

Recently, we were delighted to be able to help Pleavin Power Ltd with an urgent need to get a tanker back on the road.

The company had acquired an old tanker from a customer in Scotland, which had served them well but was equipped with an obsolete LC3 meter system. This meter, once reliable, had become problematic and, despite diligent maintenance efforts, eventually failed catastrophically. This failure rendered the tanker inoperative at a critical moment, just as Pleavin Power was preparing to fulfil a major contract.

Faced with the potential inability to meet their contractual obligations, Pleavin Power urgently sought a solution and contacted us for assistance. Recognising the urgency of the situation, we swiftly proposed a robust solution: the installation of a TEX Retrofit register and kit.

We (humbly) think we provide fantastic solutions and great products, and we always like to share them. But nothing beats you doing the same. So, for the whole of July, we’re running a little social media competition.

Next weekend, our wonderful Sales Coordinator, Claire Ginger, is taking part in the Race to the Stones. She is raising money for Parkinson's UK, in memory of her dad who sadly succumbed to the awful disease several years ago. She will be walking 50km’s (or about 31 miles in old money), setting off from Lewknor in Oxfordshire and walking along the Ridgeway (which just happens to be Britain’s oldest pathway).

A few Christmas housekeeping points while we have you. The Alpeco elves have their annual stock take planned for the 20th and 21st of December, so the warehouse will be closed. Our team will be taking a well-earned break from 3:30pm on the 22nd December and will be back in the office from the 2nd January.

We were very impressed with the turnout at last weeks' UKIFDA Show.
