Lewes 2025 Fossil Festival
Making a welcome come back the Lewes Fossil festival will this year coincide with the 200th anniversary of the recognising and naming of one of the first land dinosaurs, called Iguanodon and now called Mantellisaurus by Lewes-born Gideon Mantell on 10th February 1825.
Saturday 8th February 2025 10am -12.30 is the date and Linklater Pavilion, Railway Lane, Lewes BN7 2FG the location. Many hands-on activities for children, fossil exhibitions, Treasure Hunt, book stall, bring along fossils to show our experts to find out what they are. Refreshments. Children £3, adults free. All children to be accompanied by an adult. Run in conjunction with Lewes u3a Geology Group.
