Today was a special day celebrating the launch of South Ayrshire ADP's one stop shop Compass, and the new home of RecoveryAyr @48 - brilliant to catch up with so many compassionate and proactive people making a difference in South Ayrshire.
We also took time to acknowledge lives lost in South Ayrshire to drugs and alcohol after a walk along the River Ayr, a poignant reminder of why our work matters.
We are grateful and encouraged today and wish Compass and @48 all the very best💜

VOLUNTEER WEEK
Care & Share was established in 2008 and was build on a firm foundation of committed volunteers.
Volunteers continue to carry us each week - we have a team of people delivering at least 40 hours of volunteering per week and most of them have stuck with us for 5 years or more. There have literally been thousands of tea towels washed and ironed over the years!
THANK YOU to the people who give us the precious gift of their time to serve in a variety of roles - some obvious and some unseen.
It is an amazing demonstration of our values - loving people and doing the right things for the right reasons.
Wow! Amazing commitment from Stevie and from the team at RecoveryAyr. So many memories have been made here 💜
Excited to see Cafe Hope set up in your new home @48 on 21st June.
A fantastic opportunity to make a difference in a young person's life with Bfriend South Ayrshire
Our befrienders and their young people made the most of the glorious sunshine last weekend. Some even met up for a joint outing. We love seeing new friendships forming! These adventurous young people chose to go horse riding!

Good evening, tonight we are putting out an urgent call out for help to our amazing community. We have completely ran out of cooking items for our service users who are escaping homelessness 😢
We have created a wishlist (link below) on Amazon of the cheapest items we can find and wonder if anyone is in a position to help us out by purchasing any of the items? The delivery address is set to SeAscape by default.
We can also uplift any clean and working microwaves, air fryers, small table top hobs, or similar, if anyone has any they can donate. If you can email us on [email protected] and we will be in touch to organise an uplift.
Any shares of this post would be much appreciated 💙

Today our Writing Group, guided by Des Dillon, performed a couple of pieces they had written as part of the . Well done to all the writers and actors for bringing these special moments to their audience at Care & Share.
"You are doing just fine, be kind to yourself, be kind to your younger self, because I think despite everything, they would be so proud of the person you became, the person you are. They would marvel at your strength, at your vulnerability, they would champion your courage and most importantly they would treat you with compassion so why don't you do the same?"
What an important message for us to hear.
