I'm looking forward to the "very big run" on Sunday. Time has flown by. It's been an amazing journey from zero miles to my new longest run of 20 miles. Over 600km of training done, long runs, short runs, trail runs, hill runs, sprints, fartleks, tempo runs, heart rate runs, runs in the dark, wind, rain, sleet, snow and a little bit of sun. With a last minute place in the London Marathon I am so pleased to be where I am now and to be ready to take on the full 26.2 miles. I'm also so lucky to have the opportunity to support Alzheimer's Research UK. Every penny raised will go towards ground-breaking research, diagnosis and ultimately new treatments for those living with Alzheimer's disease, a disease that affects the lives of 1 in 3 people.
Any last minute donations are very welcome there is a link below to my fundraising page:

LET’S INVESTIGATE TO STOP THE PLASTIC CRISIS
Nearly 100 billion pieces of plastic packaging are thrown away by UK households every year, and just 12% is recycled in the UK.
It’s time the government got serious about tackling the plastic crisis. You can help by taking part in The Big Plastic Count!
We try really hard at RYG to limit our use of single use plastics and things that are thrown away to landfill. You can see this in our packed lunches:
reusable flask
reusable lunch box
sandwiches wrapped in paper
fresh fruit
yummy homemade cakes
NO
cling film
plastic tubs
crisp packets
bar wrappers
What can you do????
Join The Big Plastic Count The UK’s biggest investigation into household plastic waste. Together let's push the government to tackle the plastic crisis.
Check your winter tree knowledge with this interesting quiz. Why not go and identify some specimens outdoors?
How to Identify Winter Trees - Quiz Bare winter trees can be tricky to identify. But there are clues in their twigs, buds and silhouettes. Test your knowledge and learn how to do it.
After the highs of a longer run at the weekend,, today life is busy and I am tired..but I still ran.
I was ill prepared for how overwhelming this journey would be. Exciting, terrifying and VERY emotional. January is far from the best time of year to launch a fundraising campaign. I am completely blown away by all the support, kindness and donations for such a ground breaking charity and a personal cause.
It has been lovely to hear from people from all corners of my life, from those who I see every day, others who I haven't seen in a while and wish I could see more. Some people who I am only just getting to know or who relate to the cause and recognise the challenge.
THANK YOU # # # # # #
