Ulster 9 counties champions 👏

Three golds & silver for Bann boxers today at the ulster 9 counties.
Cole Rooney won B2 65kgs category with excellent display of boxing. Franky Mooney was also on fine form to win the B1 38.5 kgs class . Paige Nickels adds the G3 51kgs title to her collection. Valiant effort by Ross Niblock to take silver after close battle.Great last round from Ross giving his opponent a standing 8 count.

Nice controlled performance from Cole Rooney today to advance to the ulster 9 counties final. Good man Cole 👍

BANBRIDGE boxers have been in superb form at the County Louth Championships, claiming three titles already! 🥊
Finn Gilmore was crowned Co. Louth B4 46kg champion, after defeating Callum Crilly (St. Bronagh’s).
Isaac Ireland lifted the Co. Louth B1 35kg title after defeating Ardee’s Adam McCann.
The third gold medal winner was Reuben Stevenson, who had wins over Keady’s Tyler Renaghan and Christy Nevin (Mullingar) to be crowned B1 31kg champion! Well done!

Fantastic day for Bann boxers at the Co Louth championships with Three more golds to the clubs tally with victories from Reuben Stevenson, Isaac Ireland and Finn Gilmore. Harrison Orr got the day of to great start with unanimous points win to advance to next week final.

Reuben Stevenson put in a strong composed assured performance and sprinkled it with moments of class as he secured a debut victory today in the Co Louth championships.

More good news for the club with Finn Gilmore picked to represent N.Ireland boys & girls club at UK championships also Jason Mc Kay has been selected to be a coach on the team.

Paige Nickels gets gold at the Belfast Halloween boxcup with powerful 1st round stoppage. Finn Gilmore boxed out of his skin against the Irish senior cadet champion Jake Kelleher (Ratoath) but unfortunately the split decision didn’t go his way . Isaac Ireland also comes home with silver after another split decision didn’t go our way.

Good day for Bann boxers at the Belfast Halloween box cup with unanimous win for Franky Mooney over Holy Trinity’s sean Tomozei. Isaac Ireland had a 2nd round stoppage win over his Kildare opponent. Paige Nickels advanced to Monday final after her opponent withdrew from the competition.

What a week it's been for Banbridge Boxing Club head coach Jason McKay! 🥊 The former Irish champion and ex-pro boxer (then known as ‘Cool Hand’) was named Club Coach of the Year at ABC's Junior Sports Awards. Also, he saw his Bann proteges claim a string of Ulster and NI titles. Not only that, he celebrated his 46th birthday. A triple whammy!
