We celebrated the 4th of July at Lake House! We made sure our home was decorated, that we had American sweets ready, as well as a photo booth, an American quiz and Hollywood Stair bingo, with hot dogs for tea.

We had a Trip to Brackley Antiques Cellar and it was lovely seeing all the beautiful jewellery as well as some of the antiques brought back lots of memories. ππ

These events are all about spreading joy and building a sense of community in our home. We're really looking forward to sharing these special moments with you!
We have been up-cycling! This week we up-cycled a bicycle wheel that will go outside our home. We have also been busy creating some collages.

We had the Pianoman in to play us a few war time songs, which we all sang along to.
We had an afternoon of singing, dancing and laughter! Thank you to Sparky & Sprite Entertainment who provided us with excellent entertainment. We can't wait to see them again!

The sun is shining and we are getting ready for the reopening of our Day Centre. Adderbury councillor, Jacky Atkinson will be officially opening Lake House Day Centre from 2:30pm today. Newly appointed Lake House Chef, Karla, made an amazing cake to celebrate Philip's birthday this week. I think you'll agree Karla has a talent for cake decorating, it looked great and tasted amazing! π
Congratulations to our Care Leader, Rebecca, who received her 5 years service award this month. Rebecca joined the Lake House family in 2019 and is dedicated to caring for our residents. Thank you Rebecca for your dedication to your role in the home. β€οΈ
We were joined by the Adderbury Morris Men, who came along to dance with us, one lovely afternoon!

The residents and team at Lake House took a trip to peoples park, where we enjoyed a cup of tea and watched the world go by. We even met some friendly dogs that wanted to share our biscuits! The trees are beginning to blossom, and this was lovely to see.
We had a busy week last week! π We have been planting tomato plants and a variety of flower seeds in our garden ready for spring, as well as some arts and crafts.
Jo, our Activity Coordinator, updated her mini bus training certificate with a 2 day course and we are pleased to say SHE PASSED! π
Well Done Jo! Residents are now able to enjoy outings in the minibus we share with Larkrise.
