As some of you already know we are now doing a monthly bonus ball draw to raise regular funds for our activities. This will be done using the first lottery draw of the month on a Saturday. The bonus ball from that draw will be the winning number. Numbers are 1 to 59. We have sold quite a few numbers but still have some left to sell. As requested by many the number you choose will be the number you keep for ongoing monthly draws. The first draw is this Saturday 8th September.
The cost is £5 per number. Any none payments will result in a rollover to the next monthly draw. This applies to everyone. Payments can be payed by bank transfer (please message for details) or cash in the carehome.
The winner will recieve £150 and our activities fund £145....please share and help us to fill 🥰

This afternoon we were entertained by a fantastic 'Country and Western' duo....🤠🎊🎵🎸 videos to follow showing off our singing and dancing 🥰

Just a reminder that family and friends of our residents are invited to join us tomorrow afternoon at 2pm for live entertainment with a Country and Western duo 🤠

We were back into the full swing of things today after my annual leave 🇹🇷 We've had such a lovely and very busy Wednesday! We started this morning with coffee morning doing activities of our choice, we chose jigsaws, read magazines, coloured or just sat and had a natter 🥰
We also had some special little visitors join us. Jacob brought his little brother Jax to meet us, he is a very proud big brother 💙💙 Safron our domestic who is currently on maternity leave gave birth to baby Jax in July.....he's is so adorable and we've all enjoyed cuddles. Thankyou for bringing him to see us and a massive congratulations from all residents and staff 🥂🍾🎊
This afternoon we started off with a game of 'it's a darts knockout', today's winner was Stella! 🎯🏆 Well done Stella 👏
We followed that with our weekly exercise class. As you can see it was thourghly enjoyed by all 🥰

I would like to say thankyou to our visitor Paul 💙 during my 2 weeks annual leave Paul has stepped in and done regular bingo sessions with the residents. He even went above and beyond and baked cakes for the coffee morning! Thankyou Paul from all the residents too, your a star! 🌟 Sharon xx

What a lovely day we've had today! This morning we went to the Parkway cinema to watch the film 'Kes' . We remembered it fondly from back in the day. That 'Barnsley' accent just never changes 🥰
We then went for lunch to Cafe - Albert Street were they reserved our seats as requested and waited on us fabulously. The food was enjoyed by everyone 😋
Afterwards we took a walk to the fountains in town where we enjoyed the lovely weather and an icecream and watched the world go by ❤️🍦😎

Tomorrow is our lovely carer 'little Em's' 21st birthday! She's not at work tomorrow so we surprised her today with her cards, presents, flowers and cake from all her friends here at The Firs. We hope you enjoy your special day Emily with love from us all 🎂🥂🍾🎊

Today we're off to the Parkway cinema to watch 'kes' 📽🥰
