Dolly's Desserts joined Market Kitchen in 2019, and have been satisfying customers sweet tooth with their bakes, crepes and gelato ever since.

They have gone onto open another location within The Glass Works, and although the two stores are only a stones throw from each other, they offer customers a very different experience.

Dolly's Desserts in Market Kitchen is the only place to find their famous Crepes and Pancake Stacks, as well as being fully stocked with bakes and gelato.

Classic Indian dishes packed with wholesome flavours to suit everyone.

Whether you prefer a creamy korma, mild tikka masala or a red-hot vindaloo, Rajah has you covered. With a huge range of curries to choose from, you’ll find something to suit your preference.

It doesn’t just stop at curries though – there’s a whole host of starters and sundries on offer or you may want to grab a tasty Indian wrap or a mixed kebab for a perfect alternative.

What's on the menu for breakfast and lunch this week in Market Kitchen? Hilton's Café is a traditional café serving up lovingly prepared hearty grub.

Barnsley's Big Weekend is full of fantastic free, family-friendly entertainment - starting in The Glass Works Square on Saturday the 13th of July with Brassed On! Our annual town centre brass band festival, featuring the world-famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band, plus 8 other amazing brass acts performing across 2 stages.

Barnsley Pride will also be taking place on Saturday with music, art, and performances in the Civic’s Mandela Gardens and The Garrison, which is sure to be another epic pride party!

Then to wrap up the weekend, Sunday the 14th of July sees the return of What’s Your Move? A family-friendly sports and activity day taking place in The Glass Works Square from 11am - 4pm, there will be 12 activities including:

It was a pleasure to host a very special Veteran's Breakfast on Saturday as part of the town's Armed Forces Day celebration.

The bar in Market Kitchen offers a great commercial opportunity and is a key part of The Glass Works offer.

The bar’s current lease, agreed on a four-year term, ended back in September 2023.

Since September 2023, Cucina has continued to operate under a tenancy-at-will agreement, which is due to end today.

The council has delivered a fair and transparent tender process where all businesses, including Cucina, were invited to apply for the new lease.

As Market Kitchen is a thriving venue, we received a number of applications from local and regional businesses, and a new tenant has been successfully appointed.

We have been working closely with both Cucina and the new tenant to ensure a smooth transition, making sure that it’s business as usual for tenants and customers in Market Kitchen.

Unfortunately, the bar in Market Kitchen will be closed today (Sunday 16 June). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Jar Bar and MEZE Turkish Kitchen food outlets will be open as usual.

You guys are absolutely amazing!!

Thank you to all our wonderful customers for your support.

We are however still struggling to keep up with the demand. We’ve brought in extra ovens, we’ve batch prepped as much as we can of our homemade toppings and we are still struggling to keep up!

It’s hugely appreciated and we’re continually trying to improve our processes to ensure we don’t run out but please please bare with us for a couple of weeks while we fine tune it all. We never in our wildest dreams expected this much custom.

If you visit us today or tomorrow and we’ve run out of your chosen topping we’re really sorry. We’ve a few bits left but we’re running low or sold out of a lot of our items
