Again, we spent weeks sourcing this Womankind fabric. I just couldn't find one that I found inclusive. This isn't perfect but I LOVE it and I'm happy with the represation that is shown.

Custom order books will be shut between Friday 19th and Monday 29th November for market prep.
Our depop shop will still be open with lots of premade items that can still be personalised.

We have a two day market on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November at Pilton Village Hall. We can't wait to see you there 🥰

We will also be hosting a virtual market stall in December 🎄 Date TBC.

Last custom orders taken on Friday 10th December for garunteed Christmas delivery.

Day 3- Something old and something new...

It all started with masks. I started making them for family and friends and then opened it up to public orders. I still get the odd order but don't have stock of them anymore. (DM if youd like to order one 😉)

From there we've developed so many different products. The monthly boxes this year have been very popular and such fun to make. We are always developing ideas and trying new products out.

Something new... I'm in love with this pin and scrunchie set. We've got a couple of these made up ready for a Christmas market we've got coming up ☃️🎅🎄

Day 3- What's in a name?!

So... Emy is the name of my daughter's favoruite teddy. She was gifted a cuddly Elephant when she was born by a dear friend of mine and the two of them have been inseparable ever since.

So when my son was born I wanted a similar teddy for him. I fell in love with the fox and when Casper was old enough to name him he called him 'Foxy'.

The phrase 'Emy and Foxy' was used daily at home and always made me smile. These two teddies where the characters in all our stories, companions on all our adventures and comfort for all those grazed knees and bumped heads.

When I started to think about names for my 'business' it was still just a hobby and when I decided to really persue the business I did contemplate a rebrand. However Emy and Foxy is so close to my heart... I just couldn't change it.

The logo was a gift from one of my ex students and last year digitised myself and finalised my brand.

So there you go... the OG Emy and Foxy are cuddly toys 🥰

Day 2- How it started...

I've always had crafty women in my family- my Nanny, Auntie and Momma- so being creative has in my blood.

I suffered from PND and a little PTSD after the traumatic birth of my son and found that life with 2 under 2 was very difficult. During maternity leave I needed something to keep my mind busy during those long days and dark nights so I dug out my Nanna's old sewing machine (the one pixtures). My Granny and Grandad in law got it running for me and I started to make some items for me and my family.

When by second baby was born we decided to use cloth nappies. Most clothes didn't fit... so I started making some. I'd not made clothes since GCSE textiles so relearning those skills were a challenge but I really enjoyed it.

Once people find out you can sew you get a lot of requests to mend and make things. This helped me to build up my sewing skills and technique. From there friends of friends were messaging and then Emy and Foxy was born. I was only getting a couple of orders a month but it was great being creative again.

Fast forward to lockdown 2020. Now with 2 sewing machines and an overlocker I was sewing more and more. I made 500+ masks in a year as well as scrub bags and mask extenders. It was an honour to donate so many to local hospitals and care homes.

I 'officially' started Emy and Foxy during lockdown and opened my depop shop this year. I've extended my product range beyond facemasks and you'll be able to find Emy and Foxy in some local christmas markets 🎄

Hello!
I'm Abi- owner of Emy and Foxy. I run this small business on my own from my little sewing room at home. Emy and Foxy has been going for about 18 months now and has grown nicely to fit in with my busy life.
