You would not have been able to tell what the base of this little pin dish was made of so black and tarnished was it! I liked it so much I paid the princely sum of 50p for it. After a quick clean and the discovery of London hallmarks I can attribute it to Alexander Field a silversmith of repute early 19th century, this particular piece, 1834. Value £350 - £450... I love my job! 😁

Beautiful hand Carved bamboo calligraphy brush holders late 18th early 19th century. The patina on these gets better with age, unfortunately they are prone to drying out and cracking, freshly cleaned and waxed, ready for sale @ LuBoPoCo.Barnstaple pannier market. 😁
