Acknowledging these less obvious symptoms is the first step towards enhanced resilience and performance.
1. Subtle Concentration Slips: Finding it harder to focus on details? Minor lapses in concentration can be early signs of nervous system fatigue.
2. Low Resilience to Stress: If small setbacks feel insurmountable, it could mean your nervous system is reaching its limit.
3. Minor Memory Mistakes: Forgetting keys is one thing, but slipping on client details or missing meetings could be your brain signaling a need for downtime.

Today marks twenty years since the profound silence descended—the day my brother Sam left this world of his own choice.
Reflecting on this milestone, it’s not just about loss; it’s about what happens after. I went to bed one person, and woke up another. Two sides to a coin.
Back then, grappling with the raw edges of grief pushed me into a labyrinth of pain and confusion. But here’s the thing: it didn’t actually break me. There was a long period that it seemingly was to the outside world.
In time it forced me to dive deep into understanding human resilience and the reality of post-traumatic growth. These aren’t just clinical terms to toss around—they’re the signposts of my journey through healing and helping others.
There have been moments, fleeting and vivid, where I’ve sensed Sam’s presence. Just this past weekend, his face flashed before my eyes, and for a moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of safety. It’s a complex cocktail of comfort and fear, this engagement with the ‘other side’—yet another layer of this journey I’m still navigating.
What I’ve learned is that each moment of darkness cradles a potential spark of light. And trust me, I really lean into this!
If I could, I’d bring Sam back in a heartbeat to share these insights face-to-face. But that’s not how this works. Instead, I use his decision as fuel for my mission. That’s a promise that I carry with me—a promise that dies with me.
Sam’s absence has been a catalyst for my purpose: to reach out, to understand, and to guide others through their pain and struggles. To live life to the FULLEST!
His life and his leaving have sparked a legacy of compassion and understanding—a legacy that I am determined to continue.
Sam, you’re not here, but you’re helping me make a difference. How incredible is that?! You’ve given me a real purpose, and for that, I am strangely grateful.
You’re my one more angel in heaven, one more star in the sky.
Never forgotten, always inspiring. This is how I honour you—loudly and lovingly, far from the silence.

That’s it… all done and dusted…
Ha! As if! It’s only the beginning! And more than anything that excites me the most.
So having wrapped up the all-day event to launch the journal, then actually setting it live to purchase online…. that had me riding the wave of peak performance for about four days straight! 🚀
Now, the challenge? Easing down from that peak without crashing to a halt. It's all about mastering the art of Hyper Performance – finding that sweet smooth slide down to high levels of performance with skill!
It’s important not to go at it for too long so you CRASH and BURN… so getting it right is about lowering down, but without dipping too low. 🌊➡️🏔️
I thought I would share with you my go to activities (or non-activities) to complete this transition smoothly that you can ALL do!
🛌💤 Take Rest:
It's crucial to allow your body and mind to recover.
🚶♀️🧘♀️Move a Little:
I’m keeping movement gentle and restorative.
🥗🌈Eat Well:
Nutrition is key. I’m filling my plate with vibrant, nutrient-packed foods.
📺😌Switch Off with... Crap TV:
Yep, you read that right. When I need my brain to take a break without shutting down completely, my secret weapon is indulging in some good old-fashioned, mindless television. It’s about letting my mind wander without the pressure to be productive.
This mix of rest, mindful movement, solid nutrition, and yes, even some guilt-free screen time, is my formula for coming down from the highs of peak performance without hitting the lows. It's all about balance and knowing what your body and mind need to reset.
Other things I do that support me are: hot and cold therapy (my sauna blanket and the shower/ice bath), acupuncture, EFT and Somatic movement & breathwork (feel free to ask me about these - I will OH SO HAPPILY TELL YOU!).
