So for the second year in a row, some fabulous Boden team members are taking on the Mission Unbreakable challenge, all in support of the incredible work done by the North Devon Hospice. Last year was tough, but we’re ready to tackle it again, knowing that every step, jump, and crawl makes a difference for those in need.

Look who has been 'Swanning Around' at our Swallow Court office in Tiverton this morning! The Flock that Rock - Tiverton Swan Trail's 13th Swan flew in to enjoy the sunshine in the courtyard!

Operations Director Keith Bright and HR & Recruitment Coordinator, Chloe Beard, had a fantastic day yesterday at the Career Transition Partnership Employment Fair for service leavers! It was great to meet so many amazing people who have done incredible things for our country and are now gearing up for their next adventure.

Here at Boden Group, we're all about supporting service leavers as they transition into civilian roles. The skills and experiences these individuals bring to the table are so valuable, and it was really inspiring to see so many different sectors come together to celebrate and support this talent.

Big shoutout to CTP for organising such a successful event, and to all the service leavers who stopped by. It was great to chat, share stories about what we do, and talk about some of the exciting opportunities we've got on offer, including Civilian Work Attachments.

A fantastic first week on site to replace multiple refrigerant-based heat recovery VRF systems, Air to Water heat pumps and FCUs across multiple floors within an active office environment.

Effective planning, communication and collaboration is always the key to success but never more so than this week, with the need to maintain business functionality for the client whilst managing the safe decommissioning of the old system and logistics of lifting in the new.

Whilst the original installation was ahead of its time, life cycle replacement presents an opportunity to maximize modern technologies and remain at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, two of Boden Groups underpinning cornerstones.

A huge well done and thank you to our fabulous Boden team who took part in Mission Unbreakable 2023 at the weekend. An incredible and very muddy effort from the crew raised over £700 for the North Devon Hospice. We can't wait to do it all over again in 2024!

This year the staff at Boden Group decided that instead of giving each other a Secret Santa gift, they would instead give gifts for the teenagers staying on our Caroline Thorpe Children’s Ward at Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust. Boden Group Marketing Executive Alexandra O’Brien visited the hospital with bags full of presents and donated them to Caroline Thorpe Play Worker Hayley Jeffery and Ward Manager Anita Chin. We can't wait to see the teenagers faces light up when they see their gifts!

After a long week of training our new team in Portsmouth, Mark Wright, Business Development Analyst, will be mountain biking on a new trail in Cornwall!

Not only is it good for physical fitness but also for mental fitness as exercising in nature has been known to release endorphins, the feel-good hormones which lift our mood and reduce anxiety.

Relocating can be stressful enough, so when our Works Co-ordinator, Gael Burns, decided to move to Cornwall from Somerset, Boden's hybrid working policy enabled her to work from home, making the whole process much easier.

Gael is loving the sunshine down in Cornwall (whilst it lasts) with her new teammates David and Emma!

It's ! This month we've been encouraging Team Boden to help reduce the company's use of plastics.

We're thrilled with the uptake of the challenge and the great ideas suggested for immediate and future plastic reduction. An obvious target was our use of plastic bottles, especially now the hot weather is with us! So, we've invested in Boden bottles!

If each of our eco bottles is used only three times a week instead of a plastic one, it saves 31,200 plastic bottles a year, and our employees keep well hydrated!

The next stop is the installation of our new Zip Water UK water bottle refill station which will further reduce our plastic use and carbon footprint.
