So sad to hear the news about Dave Myers.

Dave was a regular at the Duke for years, often turning up on a Friday or Saturday night sitting with his friends and enjoying a pint or two. He was always a delight to the staff, so polite and friendly. Absolutely never any airs and graces, despite the fact that he was a nationally famous face. We get a few celebrities staying, dining and drinking at the Duke, I don't think there's ever been a nicer one.

We'll miss you Dave. RIP.

JOB ALERT!

We're looking to recruit housekeepers to join our hotel team. We’re busy with bookings, have lots of lovely guests, there are plenty of shifts available and we’ll work around you to create a working pattern that suits your requirements.

The role can be demanding, with rooms to turn and keep s***k and span. If you’re an experienced housekeeper, with an incredible eye for detail, and want to help in exceeding our guests’ expectations - send over your CV to [email protected].

If you’re just starting out and want to learn the ropes - send over your details too as full training is available.

This job is part time, fits in around school drop offs and we’re really flexible with your hours. If you’d prefer to work mid-week - no problem! If you’re only available at the weekend we can sort that too! All we ask is you turn up when you’re scheduled. Any hours considered from 5-20 per week: £9-£11ph.
